This week's Famitsu (via Andriasang) confirms Capcom's Lost Planet 2 will include offline split-screen co-op when it releases May 18. Series producer Jun Takeuchi told Joystiq last year at GamesCom that the developer was working on couch co-op for the game, which already features four player online co-op.

The split screen will reportedly be similar to Resident Evil 5's staggered screens, maintaining the aspect ratio and cutting down on the hardware requirements. So, go ahead and play Lost Planet 2 snuggled with a buddy on the couch or drinking beers with the spouse when it releases ... wait, reverse that.

Retailers have started listing a Limited Collector's Edition of Alan Wake, possibly in advance of an official announcement later today at Microsoft's X10 event. Both Best Buy and Wal-Mart have listings for the item, with an $80 price tag and a May 25 release date.

Wal-Mart's listing actually includes the image seen here, and details the contents of the set: a linen case "designed to resemble a hardcover book" (is this game a book or a TV show?), a 144-page book with a story written by Alan Wake and FBI dossiers included, a soundtrack disc, a token for the first DLC pack, and a disc with an Xbox Live theme and avatar.

Direct link here I’m playing through Super Mario Galaxy for the second time right now, and I still can’t get over how stunning the soundtrack is. I think it might be Nintendo’s best game score of all-time. It’s truly a treat for the ears, and is one of the very few games that makes [...]

click to Sonic-size It's a sad fact that essentially the only good Sonic games are the old ones. Thus, we were pretty excited to find out that Sega was bringing the first three Sonic games and Sonic & Knuckles to the DS in Sonic Classic Collection. And here we are, faced with the first good Sonic game in quite some time, and Sega goes and makes a limited edition solely for Spain and Australia. The limited edition includes a tin, art cards, a nifty Sonic figurine and, of course, the game itself.

Don't get us wrong, we're thrilled for Spain and Australia and hope they enjoy this wonderful gift from Sega. Our only question to Sega: Why not share the love with the whole world?

We're big fans of the Digital Comics service on PSP. However, there's been one feature that's sorely missing from the program right now: the ability to delete comics from your Memory Stick. While the footprint of a single issue is rather small (around 30MB), it can easily build up. Who knows? That free issue of Archie you downloaded could prevent you from downloading Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker!

Thankfully, that doomsday scenario seems unlikely. Pete Scott told readers of the PlayStation.Blog that "there will be an update to the application to enable in-app deletion." Until then, if you want to manage your PSP comics collection, you'll have to make do with the Media Go app on the PC.

The second character from the upcoming Dragon Age expansion Awakening to be introduced is Velanna, whose main characteristic is that she hates humans a bunch. Also, much like Awakening's other new character Anders, she keeps her arms out at all times.

The Dalish elf is "nature's hand, an instrument of vengeance, and she will never submit" in her unending fight to avenge the treatment of the Dalish at the hands of humans. Which means your relationship with her probably isn't going to be too chummy if you're playing a human character. And by "not too chummy" we mean "she will murder you with a tree."

Chapter III – The Elder Kingdoms will take players to a new continent and Level 60.

Though we're confident Capcom wouldn't leave Okamiden, the DS followup to the critically acclaimed Okami, in Japan, it's nice to have some supporting evidence. Siliconera spotted a trademark for Okamiden on the European trademark database, suggesting that Capcom plans to publish it in Europe. And if Capcom Europe is picking it up, it's a sure enough bet that Capcom USA will as well. We look forward to playing it for more than a few minutes!

We're going to celebrate the impending localization by first asking Capcom about it, and then staring dreamily at the character art of Chibiterasu. So cute.

PSP Go has entered the "almost worth it" zone. While we're enamored with the system's smaller design, it's hard to ignore that it plays far less games than the PSP-3000 and costs much more.

Thankfully, online retailer amazon.com has discounted the white handheld to $209.99 -- $40 off the standard MSRP. At this price, the PSP Go costs approximately the same as a PSP-3000 and a 16GB Memory Stick. Considering Amazon's hefty cut, we wonder: will Sony announce an official price drop of the PSP Go some time soon?

[Thanks Goldenchild!]

Microsoft already announced earlier this week that Halo luminaries Frank O'Connor and Marty O'Donnell would be stopping by for the season finale of 1 vs 100, but now Major Nelson has revealed that Jimmy Fallon will be appearing as well. It's not too much of a stretch to see the Late Night host appearing on the game, as games have certainly been no stranger on his talk show (or its commercials). This season's final episode of 1 vs 100 will begin on Xbox Live this Friday at 10:00pm ET/7:00 pm PT.
