The free game wagon just keeps on a-rolling -- our PC-obsessed sister site Big Download recently directed our attention to three classic installments in the Command & Conquer franchise which are currently available to download for nary a penny: Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun (with the Firestorm expansion pack), and Red Alert.

Installing the games might exact a price upon your patience -- Dawn and Alert both require a fair amount of tinkering to work on your futuristic computing rig. Still, we'd rather pay for games with patience than hard-earned dollars any day of the week.

We've already pointed out a handful of times that there are just a few too many JRPGs boldly standing up against Final Fantasy XIII's near-guaranteed dominance in terms of sales. It seems that at least one of those is moving out of its previously believed same-day release date with FFXIII, with Sega telling us in a press release yesterday afternoon that the it's "happy to announce that Resonance of Fate, the next RPG coming from tri-Ace, will be launching in North America on March 16" on both Xbox 360 and PS3.

Clearly Sega is counting on die-hard FF fans to rush through the big release in under 168 hours, just in time for its bullet-riddled affair. We'll certainly see how it all shakes out in a few months when the sales numbers arrive, but we're betting the ground will be littered with chocobo feathers when it does.

So what's the appropriate greeting for when you pass another survivor in the zombie apocalypse? We'll find out next month, when Valve plans to release the first Left 4 Dead 2 DLC campaign, "The Passing," on Xbox 360 and PC. The Passing will feature non-playable appearances by the original Left 4 Dead cast (those shadowy figures in the background there), who will aid L4D2's four survivors during the third act of the new campaign, which is set in rural Georgia.

Not one to leave holes in a good story, Valve will explain the original survivors' frantic journey to Georgia by way of -- yes, it's really happening -- a new DLC add-on for Left 4 Dead 1 (not compatible with L4D2). No additional details were provided about the upcoming L4D1 DLC by Valve at X10 today, but it will follow the release of The Passing campaign and a digital comic (illustrated by Michael Avon Oeming) that will tie together the two DLC stories.

Additionally, Valve confirmed that The Passing will also include new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes, and a new co-op challenge mode. Players will also encounter a new "uncommon common" infected, dubbed the Fallen Survivor, which randomly drop items when killed. The Passing is currently on track for a "late March" release.

This article is of course tongue-in-cheek, but it also makes me a bit sad. I know there are plenty of people out there that really feel this way! Let’s hope they read this article and lighten up.

We sure hope you've gone through the rigors of grabbing the Platinum trophy in Uncharted 2 already, because it's about to get a tad harder to unlock. On February 25, a patch for the multiplayer component of the 2009 Game of the Year[TM] will be released, adding 12 new trophies and 12 in-game medals. You can find a list of both of these unlockables after the jump.

In addition, a batch of Uncharted 1-themed DLC will be simultaneously added to the PSN, giving players access to six character skins from the original title: Original Drake, Elena, Atoq Navarro, Eddie Raja, Gabriel Roman and Javier. There will be two new maps as well: The Flooded Ruins, which takes place in the customs house from the first game, and The Facility, which is based on Uncharted's submarine dock area. The maps and skins will be bundled together for $5.99, or sold piecemeal for $3.99 and $2.99, respectively.

So what if Sophie/Samuel didn't return your request for a weekend getaway to that little bed and breakfast in New Hampshire? Wouldn't you rather spend your weekend falling in love with a handful of indie games -- And Yet it Moves, Auditorium, Aztaka, Eufloria, Machinarium, and Osmos -- from an all-star list of developers? We knew you'd see our point! Besides, it's only $20 -- that's way less than the price of two nights for two people at The Buttonwood Inn, not to mention a steal considering each game individually purchased would add up to 85 buckaroos. And hey, now you can spoil yourself with an extra large box of tissues and a matching ice cream tub.

1.) HOW TO MOVE:   You simply tip the controller forward to move up the screen tip it back to move down and tip it left to move left and tip it right to mov right....Hold it flat like it was sitting on a table top. DO NOT TWIST OR ROTATE THE CONTROLLER LIKE A WHEEL.

2.) RED 4 ARROW THINGS:  Eat these to move down a level..you know, go deeper into the "Sea"

3.) BLUE 4 ARROW THINGS: Eat these to move back up one level...like the red but opposite.

4.) HOW TO EAT OTHER BIG CREATURES: You will see certain Darker or lighter spaces in them, much like a smokey bubble...AIM FOR THESE....you have to hit all of them to make the creature "Fall apart" so you can eat his pieces...be careful as he is trying to do the same to you.

5.) EAT EVERYTHING: Do this and you will grow big!  Don't eat the red and blue things unless you want to go up and down, they have no effect on your size.

6.) POWER UPS: Yes there are power ups in this game...They look like fuzzy sea urchins to best describe them...Eat them and you turn red and your mouth gets bigger and you are faster.

7.) SAVE THAT SPEED BURST: it only lasts so long....When eating bigger creatures swim normal speed until that last second before you connect and BAM! hit any button to have a speed burst...Do this and eating them will be no problem..

8.) HOW TO QUIT: to quit just hold the PS button...Don't worry,It saves at random times is what it said when it loads up. If you look at the HDD light it flashes Constantly.

9.) HOW TO EVOLVE:  There these weird U shaped things that have a little version of the next evolutionary stage in them...just swim into them.

10.) HOW TO PAUSE: Just hit the start button....It will swim your creature to its starting "Level" where it is safe and you can let it drift.

11.) HOW TO SAVE: Yes this game does save....It wont save your creature as it is when you stop, but it will save you as your last form, such as evolution #2 or #3 and so forth. When you restart you will be at the last character you were when you quit, just its basic form.

MULTIPLAYER GUIDE:

1.) HOW TO START: Just hit start on the second controller.

2.) HOW TO EAT THE OTHER PLAYER: Eat the spikey thing to turn red and you can than eat the other player.

EVOLUTION GUIDE:

1.) WORM FORM : This is the first shape that you start as when you first start the game.  Any button causes a boost in speed.

2.) JELLY FISH FORM: This is the second shape that you take when you pass the first "World". Pressing any button will cause you to spin around..Spinning is needed on the boss battle as when the littl red things come at you, spin to turn them white and make them edible. Also it causes a whirlpool effect that draws food toward your mouth.

3.) DOLPHIN LIKE SHAPE: This is the third form you take after you beat the second "World". Pressing any button causes a boost in speed.  You will only eat things touched with the very tip of the dolphin like nose. One thing about the dolphin (or I think it actually is more like some kind of a ray) form #3.  Every time you use your boost in this form it takes a link out of your tail.  It does not seem to affect your progress in your evolution of this form by using up all of your boosts and diminishing your tail, you will still grow larger at the same rate as you eat.  When you do use all your boosts and diminish your tail completely it will 'regenerate' by itself but only two links worth.

4.) LEAFY WORM WITH HOOK TAIL SHAPE: This is the fourth form that you take in evolution after beating the third world. Pressing any button causes you to turn lime green and slip just a tiny bit deeper than the other creatures..much like stealth...Touch them while lime green and they turn lime green and stop moving and can't fight back. Effective against Jelly Fish creatures. Caution how you use this as you only hav 4 chances to use it, then you have to let it recharge.

Ellis: So, this one time, me and my buddy, Keith, we saw these infected Valentine cards on the internet. And Keith was like, "Hey, we could make some money selling those." So he got out his little sister's box of crayons and made a couple. Then, I was like, "Keith, we ain't gonna make no money selling five cards." So he spent a whole year drawing, like, a thousand cards or something. Then we saw new versions of those cards, like, to download the next year and ...

A recently added hub page on the official Star Trek Online site has revealed that the nefarious Borg will soon make first contact with the MMO's players in an upcoming free content update, which will be rolled out over the next two months. The patch will add a series of high-level episodes (that's STO-speak for "quests") to the game which will throw players into a number of ground and space conflicts with the cybernetic species, leading up to a climactic raid encounter with the Borg Queen.

You can get an idea of the formidable foe you'll be facing off against in the video above and the gallery below. As a special protip from us to you, here's an instructional video which reminds prospective Borg-fighters exactly where the line must be drawn.
