The next bit of promotional material has come through for Dementium II, and this has to be the most disturbing one yet.

I bet some people are still laying claim to blindness after playing with the Virtual Boy. I fully admit that the red and black color scheme was one of the worst ideas for the platform, but we all know that Nintendo went with those choices in order to make the 3d effect the best [...]

According to a recent tweet from 3D Realms' George Broussard, Duke Nukem 3D will be next week's Xbox Live Deal of the Week. Already pretty cheap at 800 ($10), Broussard says the game will be reduced to a mere 400 ($5). That's 39 levels, online multiplayer and the nifty rewind feature, which lets you rewind to a safe point in the level upon death, for just $5. Not bad.

Oh, as an added bonus, if you can manage to snag all the Achievements, you can even unlock some images of the "upcoming" Duke Nukem Forever. That's pretty exciting, right?

Firemint's DSiWare version of its iPhone hit Flight Control is preparing to descend to the DSi Shop. It'll be out in Europe this Friday, February 19, arriving in North America the following Monday, Feb. 22, for 500 Points. And even if you've landed thousands of planes in the iPhone version of this air traffic control game, this version includes new maps!

The trailer after the break demonstrates the simple gameplay. Using the stylus, you direct the flight paths of swarms of tiny airplanes so that they all land safely. And then you declare "I am an air traffic controller!" Oh, no, that's a different game.

Direct link here How many years has this game been out, yet I never knew of that path? I hate the damn Chemical Zone cause of the water parts, and this shortcut sneaks you through all the trouble! Man, I can only imagine how much hidden stuff remains in old-school games.

This happens to be one of my favorite Alien games. It’s a pretty open-ended title, and really doesn’t compare to any of the other Alien titles that hit various platforms. I’d love to see a game like this hit the DS, and if it had the Alien license attached to it, that would [...]

We brought word yesterday that Section 8 was on its way to PS3, and that's simultaneously gotten more and less solid -- a phenomenon we're pretty sure would freak even Bill Nye out. While we know concretely that it will arrive on Sony's console this spring, we also learned it won't be arriving in a solid form at all, as the title will be exclusively available on PSN.

Moreover, this new version will include three exclusive maps and the ability for players to host games on their PCs (as seen in the Xbox 360 version). We worry that a bit too much time has passed to get PlayStation owners interested in Section 8, but putting it on PSN seems like a darn smart way to do it. We also suspect that a certain legal commotion might have a little involvement with the decision.

Those with a taste for fine racing games and fine automobiles take note: As we reported last week, the Ferrari Racing Series DLC for Need for Speed: Shift is now available from the Xbox Live Marketplace at a cost of 800 ($10). A quick refresher: The expansion reintroduces the Italian automaker's cars to the NFS franchise after seven years without 'em -- bringing with it 10 classic rides and a new series of race, hot lap, mixed track, time attack, race series, eliminator, endurance and world tour events. Basically, any real racing game fan will lap this up.

And now, your handy-dandy Xbox Live Marketplace link.

Didn't check out Creat Studios' Digger HD when it released on PSN last year? Don't worry, as you'll be able to get a free taste soon. A free downloadable demo will be added to the PlayStation Store on February 18th in Europe, and February 25th in North America.

For the uninitiated, Digger HD is (unsurprisingly) an HD remake of the classic Digger arcade game from the 80s. You control a construction vehicle that must go through an underground maze, digging to collect treasures and power-ups, while avoiding monsters.

click for full size cleaning power! It makes sense, really, that Ska Studios would tease something to do with The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai using dish soap. After all, he is a dishwasher. The studio -- currently working on XBLA Indie Game Charlie Murder -- recently sent Joystiq a package containing the yellow liquid with a card claiming that it has partnered with a Japanese soap supplier to make the Dishwasher its mascot. The soap, incidentally, sports "nearly toxic cleaning power" and a "100% non-organic, overly chemical smelling lemon aroma".

A quick jaunt over to the "supplier's" website reveals the same image seen on the soap bottle and a countdown set to expire Wednesday, February 24. It's worth pointing out that Microsoft hasn't announced the Xbox Live Arcade release for that week, so it's possible we might be seeing the all-but-confirmed Dishwasher sequel. While that seems just a tad unlikely given the promotion surrounding the first game, it certainly seems like we'll be hearing something about a new Dishwasher game.

Well, either that or this whole spiel about a random Japanese soap firm sponsoring a random XBLA game is actually real, in which case we're assuming a new brand of soap will be revealed. We can only hope it's pomegranate scented.

With its Nintendo-published Endless Ocean: Blue World hitting Wii next week, you may be wondering "What's going on with Arika?" Well, you might not be, but hey -- we're going to fill you in anyway. So, the Japanese developer has just had its 500-point DSiWare "bullet hell" shooter, Aa Mujou Setsuna, rated by Australia's OFLC under the name Metal Torrent (not to be confused with an illegal Iron Maiden album download). Which means the vertically-scrolling shmup is getting an English localization. Which, hopefully, means we'll be seeing it in the States before too long, too. Hey, those of us with nerves of steel and pinpoint piloting skills can dream, right?
