The OFLC confirms another Nintendo-exclusive title, this time coming from Skip. Is it going to be WiiWare or DSiWare…Wii or DS retail? I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough, but my money is on DSiWare for this one.

If the Xbox-less among you have been jonesing to try Binary Tweed's independent platform-puzzler Clover, you'll get your chance to play a PC port of the game in the coming weeks. A press release from the studio has revealed the game will be released "via a range of download services" on March 3. No price point for the game was specified, though the 360 version of the game sells for 400, so we're guessing it'll be within spitting distance of five bucks -- just to be safe, we've contacted the developer to find out.

As we've mentioned before, the PC version of the game has seen significant improvements over its Indie Games iteration, including tighter controls, English, French and Spanish dialogue tracks, an expanded soundtrack, and in-game text that doesn't make you want to claw out your own eyes. Sounds like this one's the version to get!

Blizzard's in-game pet store will soon be breaking the fourth wall and invading your living room with the World of Webkinz, er ... Warcraft plush animals. You'll be able to spend your real-life gold ($24.99 each) on a real-world plush doll, which will come with a code for an in-game pet that looks identical to your furry little friend. For starters, a Gryphon Hatchling and a Wind Rider Cub will be available, but more will be added later, and they'll have an Alliance or a Horde shield (depending on your faction) embroidered around their necks like an adorable little bib.

With the amount of money Blizzard is raking in each month, don't be surprised if there's some sort of Jurassic Park-like genetic engineering going on inside their walls so they can offer up real-life Murloc sea-pets next time around. Sea Monkeys have needed a comeback vehicle, and this just might be it. We'll be giving some of these away soon on the site, so keep your eyes peeled for furries.

As you may have heard, the StarCraft II beta is now officially underway. Right now, beta invites are streaming to email inboxes everywhere. As a result, scammers are out in full force as well, hoping to phish some account details from unsuspecting Blizzard fans. In order to help you avoid this potential trick, our friends at WoW.com have provided a simple guide for determining if a beta invite is legitimate (the one shown above is a gag made by us, incidentally). Simply follow the steps below to see if your beta invite is the real deal:
  • Type battle.net into your browser (no typos) and it will go to the secure battle.net site appropriate to your region.
  • Enter your account info.
  • Under Manage My Games, choose Add or Upgrade a Game.
  • Enter the Beta Key provided in the email where it says Enter Game Key.
  • Press Add Game.
If the beta is properly added to your account, you're good to go. If the beta key doesn't work, or if the email directs you somewhere else to obtain a key, it's not a real invite. WoW.com advises users to forward any fake invites to hacks@blizzard.com.

There's no getting around it -- THQ really, really wants you to play all of its games. After recently revealing that the code included in copies of Darksiders is redeemable for a free copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla, the publisher today announced that those buying the upcoming Dawn of War II expansion Chaos Rising will also snag a free PC copy of Saints Row 2.

That means slapping down your 30 buckaroos at GameStop or Best Buy (or your digital buckaroos at GameTap, Steam or Metaboli) nets you two games -- one of which we are assured allows you to spray human feces on anything nearby. If that isn't enough of a selling point, what is, you monster?

Click image to crush your retinas, to see the image embiggened before you and to hear the lamentations of your browser Because Diablo III won't be released until 2014, we've got plenty of time to check out the game's various classes. The latest to get the spotlight treatment is the female Barbarian. It's kind of funny because she looks like one of the most notable male barbarians ever: Conan. Just, uh, don't tell her we said that she looks like a dude!

If you're playing catch-up, the official character page on Blizzard's site has a brief bio on the class and a look at some of its special moves.

Is it ... possible? Can it be? Has the seemingly endless struggle to get World of Warcraft back online in China finally ended? Digital East Asia reports that China's General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) has approved NetEase's request for a license to operate the game and its expansion pack, The Burning Crusade. The government body issued a statement saying NetEase "has taken necessary corrective measures" to address GAPP's issues with the game. (We're assuming a few more monsters got deskeleton-ized.)

Though Chinese WoW players should be able to get back to their regularly scheduled grinding soon, it's unlikely that they'll ever gain access to any of the game's future expansions. But ... that's okay. They don't really add anything cool to the game. Death Knights? Pssh. Werewolves? More like Snorewolves, right?

At least see the high-res version before you start arguing.
Multiplatform games are rarely as scrutinized as this. However, Final Fantasy XIII's fall from a PS3 exclusive has certainly sparked countless fanboy battles that rage online and, unfortunately, in our own comments section.

Square Enix has recently released new images of the Xbox 360 version in action, and there are some noticeable differences, particularly when one looks at the Nomura-styled hairdos. We've donned the game a rather obscure nickname -- "The Reverse Ghostbusters" -- due to the visible disparity between the two versions. Regardless, it seems like a more-than-competent port -- a fact that the most vocal of you will likely ignore in the comments below.

Sonic may not team up with other playable characters in his upcoming downloadable adventure, but Sonic Team and Dimps are combining forces to develop Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1. Sega today confirmed to Joystiq that the two developers are working together on the title, plainly stating, "Sonic 4 Episode I is being developed by Sonic Team in cooperation with Dimps." The question as to who is actually making the title for Sega was raised when Xbox.com listed Dimps as sole developer on the game's XBLA info page.

This isn't the first time that Dimps has partnered with a well-known team to develop a game based on a classic franchise -- it worked with Capcom to create Street Fighter IV -- nor is it a stranger to the Sonic universe, having worked on the Sonic Advance series for GBA, Sonic Rush and its sequel for DS and level design for the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed.
