Two mysterious new games from a known DSiWare developer have been rated by Australia's OFLC. Skip, creator of most of the Art Style games -- as well as Chibi-Robo! -- is named as the author of both Light Trax and Penta Tentacles, with Nintendo as publisher.

Though no specific platform is named for either, Skip's recent output has been targeted entirely at the DS, with LOL and a Japan-only Chibi-Robo sequel released in addition to several DSiWare Art Style games. With all that evidence, we're guessing these two will be released on Game and Watch.

Looking to get a little more mileage out of your copy of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed before the sequel arrives? As we knew from yesterday's PSN update, PS3 owners can now download the Hoth mission which came bundled with the "Ultimate Sith Edition" re-release of the game -- however, 360 owners will be able to follow suit on Tuesday, February 23. The DLC is going for $9.99 on the PSN, leading us to assume it'll cost Xbox Live Marketplace browsers a cool 800.

The mission on Hoth follows the events of the Tatooine sidequest, and tasks the Secret Apprentice with shutting down the Rebellion and squaring off against Luke Skywalker. Remember, these extra missions are non-canonical -- meaning the fate of the aforementioned frostbitten Force-wielder is up in the air.

“Just like remote controls, game consoles, and thus game controllers, are becoming widespread. It is not surprising to find more than one game console in a household, especially when competing game console manufacturers attempt to attract unconventional consumer groups in the gaming industry. As understood herein, it would be useful to have a universal [...]

The WiiWare and DSiWare releases in Europe are startlingly uniform this week. All three WiiWare releases cost 1,000 Wii Points each, and all four DSiWare games cost 500 points. Well, we say games, but really we mean three games and an interactive book thing.

Terror in Cubicle Four is actually a downloadable e-book -- a first -- pulled from one of EA's Europe-exclusive cartridges. It is, however, a children's book about "something strange going on with the loo in cubicle four of the girl's toilet." If you'd rather read about something else, there's always Phoenix Wright.
  • Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
  • Brain Cadets (WiiWare, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points)
  • Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5 (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
  • Downtown Texas Hold'em (DSiWare, 1-4 players, 500 DSi Points)
  • Flight Control (DSiWare, 1-2 players, 500 DSi Points)
  • Flips Terror in Cubicle Four (DSiWare, 1 player, DSi Points)
  • Puzzle to Go Wildlife (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)

go ahead, click on this guy to enlarge. he's perfectly harmless The borderlands, they're a-gettin' bigger. More specifically, Borderlands is expanding yet again with its third DLC pack, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, which Gearbox says was created based on player feedback (i.e. development began after the game's release). Today we get a better look at what it'll offer up, including mechs, skagg riders and really gnarly enemies bristling with grafted-on weaponry. New vehicles are also in the works, including a four-seater tank that gives each co-op party member something to do. 2K and Gearbox still haven't announced a release date or pricing for the expansion, but we'll let you know those details as soon as we do.

Is there any great first-person console shooter than GoldenEye on the Nintendo 64? I honestly do not think that there is. This game did so much for console FPS titles. First off, it showed that the concept could actually work outside of a PC, and it could work really well. You [...]
