Ever noticed how you rarely place bullets into the same dude during two consecutive games while playing the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo? There's a darn good reason for that -- according to a recent tweet from EA, over 3.5 million people have downloaded the sneak peek on 360 and PS3.

We weren't sure Bad Company 2 would gain a ton of traction while sharing an audience with MAG and Modern Warfare 2, but apparently we were wrong. Maybe there's a special portion of the market set aside for multiplayer shooters/preposterous ATV stunt simulators.

Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase recently gave what appears to be the final word on the possibility of a FFVII remake during an interview with TechDigest. "If we were to recreate Final Fantasy VII with the same level of graphical detail as you see in Final Fantasy XIII, we'd imagine that that would take as much as three or four times longer than the three and a half years it has taken to put this Final Fantasy together," Kitase explained, "so it's looking pretty unrealistic!"

Ultimately, the chances of a remade FFVII getting developed are slim, but not non-existent. "If it were possible that we had all the right facilities and the right environment to be able to make and prepare a Final Fantasy VII remake within a year, we'd very much like a go at it," Kitase said. So, there you have it. If you want to see Cloud Strife in HD, all you have to do is recruit and bankroll a gargantuan Square Enix development team. Piece of cake!

FFVII is a good game, but why do people want the game remade? its not the "best" imo. to write an article like this is even more proof that Square is milking it too much.

even if it wasn't, saying it would take too long means they are just lazy.

also, i want VI remade plx. or V

Just how much of Gladiator A.D. is left over in Tournament of Legends? We know the blood and guts are out, but does the core gameplay and arena design remain? Surprisingly, it looks like quite a bit has changed, and I’m not just talking about the color scheme.

Joey Fernandez has some serious talent when it comes to embroidered patches. I’d love to get a jacket with all these patches on it, or maybe even a big pair of jeans. This is the type of craftsmanship that you should be proud to display anywhere.

I love Nintendo, but I think that jacket is a little too much, even for me! Thanks to Ferko for the heads up!

Now this isn’t an official confirmation, but it’s interesting to see a retailer listing. Could Factor 5 finally be revealing this project? Perhaps they’ll do so at the media summit! Thanks to XiDZeN for the heads up!

Remember when Capcom said they were gauging interest for the Japanese Mega Man Kubrick dolls? It looks like they have gone ahead with some English versions! These suckers were found on eBay, which is strange in and of itself. They’re definitely English versions, as they have English writing and names on them.

We love that Just Cause 2's trailers have simply devolved into demo reels showing off the ridiculous destructive powers the player can harness using a hookshot, a parachute and a bit of ingenuity. Two such videos were recently released by Square Enix, subtitled "Anatomy of a Stunt." The first, which shows a rather exhilarating car jump over explosive-lined jet fuel tanks, is posted above. The second, embedded after the jump, shows all the clever ways one can dispatch enemies using gravity.

Sorry, Square Enix marketing team, but we're not comfortable classifying "murder" as a "stunt," no matter how creative said "murder" might be.

For every Sonic game that was published, it seems like 2 more were left in the prototype stage. Why is it that there are so many Sonic titles that never see the light of day, yet the ones that do actually make it to retail are rather lackluster? It really makes you wonder [...]

Independently-developed FPS Shattered Horizon isn't the most high profile action game on the market right now, but it's got two things going for it which we're betting will capture your attention. The first is that until 4 p.m. EST tomorrow, you can download and play the game for free over Steam. It requires DirectX10 and Windows Vista or 7 to play -- but if you've got the tech specs to run the game, you can give it a free trial run until tomorrow afternoon.

Oh, the other thing? It's a first-person shooter that takes place in the zero-gravity environs of the moon. If a cooler premise for a game exists, we've yet to hear it.
