Want to know how bad the release date situation is over in Australia? Yeah…I’m thinking this has something to do with the leak of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Nintendo did say that the leak could impact future Aussie release dates, and this chart certainly seems to reflect that.

A portion of a Eurogamer review… You’ll have unlocked all the characters and wallowed in enough SEGA branding all too soon however, and what’s left is merely a pretty good karting game with a few nice flourishes, a couple of clunky design decisions and a whole garage full of Mario’s leftovers.

Rockstar has an exclusive -- wait, how can Rockstar have the exclusive on its own game? Anyway, there's a set of screens for Read Dead Redemption over at Rockstar's site.

The screens take a noticeable departure from the usual media we've seen coming from the game, trading in the requisite gunplay and horseback riding for brief bios on some of the world's inhabitants. Above, you can see Nigel West Dickens, the kindly old gentleman who promises to cure what ails you through one of his many tonics. Is there anything that drinking didn't fix back in the old west?

So mosey on down to Rockstar's site to see all them thar screens if you please, cowpoke.

This here is another one of those posts that takes us three hours to write, because we accidentally become infatuated with the subject we're writing about. Atari and online game developer OMGPop recently launched a completely renovated, web-based version of Missile Command. It retains the same steamy missile-on-missile action of the original arcade title, but adds some neat new gameplay mechanics in the form of power-ups, character progression, social networking features and seven-player co-op.
Check out the trailer above, then create a profile and start saving the world with six strangers on Atari's site. It's totally free -- unless, of course, you buy into the adage that "time is money," because it will certainly cost you some of that.

Demos for God of War III and Darksiders are up this week. Grandia's on PS One Classics. Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is half-price. There's Valkyria Chronicles and Uncharted 2 DLC. Echoshift is up on PSP. Basically, if you don't find something for you this week on the PlayStation Network, you probably don't own a PlayStation console.

In a stunning show that game industry analysts indeed are fallible human beings, Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter has changed his mind on Natal's supposed price. The prolific analyst prognosticated last year that price would be the primary factor in moving Natal hardware, leading him to predict that it would launch for less than $50. However, he now tells IndustryGamers that it will likely cost more, noting, "consumers will come to believe that the product and software has a lot of value." Furthermore, Pachter says that the higher that Microsoft and Sony price their motion controls, the less likely a consumer is to buy the competing product. In other words, if you spend $100 on Natal, you probably won't be too keen to plunk down another $100 for Sony's motion controller (and vice versa).

Pachter also tackles the DSi XL. He has some choice words for the beefy handheld, pointing out the $60 difference between the DS Lite and DSi XL models. "I'm not sure that bigger screens provide the value that Nintendo thinks," says Pachter, adding his belief that the entire DS line is due for a price cut. He concludes the device won't succeed at launch "since it costs only $10 less than a Wii."

Other topics discussed include Richard Garriott's foray into social media, the marketing of Dante's Inferno and the specter of third party success on the Wii -- "most third party Wii games just plain suck," says Pachter.

Tetris Party is coming out again, this time in the more expensive "on disc" format. Originally a WiiWare release, Majesco and Tetris Online, Inc. are teaming up to release Tetris Party Deluxe for both Wii and DS this June. The retail release has a few enhancements over the WiiWare original, such as three new modes: Sprint, Master, and Bombliss. Unfortunately, none of these three modes are as inventive as the modes introduced in the original WiiWare game, like Field Climber, Stage Racer and Shadow.

A price has yet to be set on Tetris Party Deluxe, but it'll be difficult to justify much more than the $12 asking price the downloadable version currently sports. A retail release on the DS is a bit more palpable, promising all the content found in the Wii version while offering a key feature DSiWare cannot capitalize on: the ability to play on every DS system out there.

To see all the differences between the three versions of Tetris Party, check out a publisher-provided chart after the break.
