It's easy to post pictures of your current gaming rig, your oodles of games, to brag about achievements and trophies, but none of that means a thing. More »
A portion of a Nintendo Life review…
If you’re the type who needs something random to play with a friend, this will be great for a short diversion (and you can always give the browser version a try to see if it’s up your alley), but if you’re just in it for the solo experience, avoid [...]
While Blur's aesthetic is devoid of rainbow bridges and adorable car-icatures, it's undoubtedly a kart racer -- albeit one that feels like it was made for people who don't like kart racers. Or those bloody blue shells.
The power-ups you'll pick up on the track can still knock competitors straight to last place, but opponents' fates aren't immutable once you send pulsating red orbs or bolts of electricity their way. Power-ups can be dodged before they grow too large in the rear-view mirror, or cancelled out by the blast of another weapon. It feels considerably more balanced and less random than the likes of Mario Kart, and being granted some measure of recourse makes it less frustrating when someone sends you hurtling to the back of the racing pack.

(Nasdaq: ATVI) today announced an agreement with Anchor Bay Entertainment to release 10 Minute Solution, a video game for Wii™ based on the popular exercise DVDs. We posted up that snippet from Nintendo Power over the weekend, and many were speculating as to what the gang would be revealing. Now we has a few people calling for a new Mario Party, as the Mario art above comes from Mario Party 8.
This would seem to fit in with that game Charles [...]
This certainly looks like a boss rush mode screen to me. That would be one of the new features in Cave Story, and if this screen is indeed from that mode, this would be the first look we’ve gotten. Nice to know that we’ll find out what this screen is from in just [...]

Bombastic, titanic, brutally imaginative and even occasionally subtle, God of War III is the latest, best reason for a gamer to save money and skip action movies. The better thrills are on a disc on my PlayStation 3. More »
First of all, no, there isn't a better title for an FPS than "Sniper: Ghost Warrior." That's just a fact. Second of all, the game's coming from the makers of such gaming classics as Chicken Riot and I Love Beauty: Hollywood Makeover, so we expect nothing but the best from the just-announced title. Sniper: Ghost Warrior is the first Xbox 360 venture from Poland-based devs City Interactive, an idea the company says was born out of some recent television programming.
"With all-new programming airing nationally on the History Channel and the Military Channel regarding the training of snipers and their missions, interest in the art of sniping has never been greater," VP of sales Lisa Rivera explains. The game is said to be centered around the assistance of rebels who are trying to overthrow "an aggressive and hostile military command" that has taken over the once-democratic (and fictional) nation of Isla Trueno. A handful of screens were released with the game's announcement this morning (which we've dropped into a gallery below), and if those tickle you pink then it'll interest you to know that the game's got a "Q2 2010" release window.

What's the difference between Activision's 10 Minute Solution fitness game for the Wii and established fitness titles like Wii Fit and EA Sports Active? About $30. More »
You know how Kratos' battle against the gods of Olympus is known for its massive, insane action sequences spread throughout? Well, some genius (or likely several geniuses) at Sony's Santa Monica Studio had the brilliant idea of making a whole game just out of those incredible moments. It was rare that I went 15 minutes without my jaw dropping at the immense size, stunning beauty or sheer creativity of the set piece I was now scaling or destroying.
I'm willing to agree that God of War III is just "God of WarHD," provided that "HD" stands for "Holy Shit."
