The upcoming Singularity from Raven Software is supposed to give you the power to age objects just by gesturing at them, and it appears that ability is being tested on the game itself: Its release date has been slowly edging into the future, from early 2010 up into March and then on to June. But it seems like the timeshifting has finally come to an end, as both Amazon and Gamefly have listed the game as releasing on June 29th of this year.

Activision originally cited the delay as an attempt to keep the game away from a crowded slate of "competitive titles," so perhaps the game will do better kicking off the dog days of summer. If Raven's time-bending twist on the FPS captures your interest, it'll be one more good reason to stay out of that hot, hot summer sun.

Bodycount says: One! One new gallery of screens from Codies' new IP
Taking aim at the "whack-a-mole mechanics" of your typical cover-based shooter, Codemasters is finally ready to take the wraps off Bodycount, the new first-person shooter IP in production at Codemasters Studios Guildford under the direction of Black creator Stuart Black. "Our shredding tech enables us to create a different kind of gameplay, where players and AI can't hide behind indestructible cover," says Black. "Here the environment is constantly changing as the game world is shot to hell; it's going to be a huge amount of fun."

That huge amount of fun will be built on the EGO Game Technology Platform, an evolution of Codemasters' EGO Engine, for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The story has something to do with killing 'Targets' - those are the bad guys - on behalf of the 'Network' - ostensibly the good guys. In addition to a full campaign, Bodycount will feature expected FPS enhancements like online multiplayer and co-op modes.

Codies' "first internally produced new IP for many years" will be shredding environments in Q1 2011. We'll let executive producer - and former Sony London director - Tom Gillo have the last comically hyperbolic word on Bodycount: "From the jaw-dropping devastation caused by firing into enemies or shredding the world around you in a hail of bullets, Bodycount will crystalize that moment of pulling the trigger into an exhilarating sensory overload of action."

It's been a while since we last saw images from Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 -- at least ones that were capable of moving whilst being accompanied by high-octane trance music. Such moving pictures were released earlier today, likely in an attempt to remind us just how pretty the game really is. (Here's a refresher course: It's super pretty.)

You can check out the trailer posted after the jump, but we suggest having some ninjas around when you watch it, because the music will totally make you want to fight some ninjas. More than usual.

Those of us who have played the first Dead Space can probably agree that there were some bitchin' dismemberments throughout Isaac Clarke's journey to disengage the U.S.S. Ishimura's parking brake or whatever. But Visceral Games is looking to get creative with the sequel, so, the studio is tapping you, "Mr. John Q. Public" or perhaps "Ms. Jane Doe," to come up with some unique limb detachment techniques for Dead Space 2.

You can submit your idea in one of three forms: through a written description; by snapping a picture; or by submitting a video -- up until March 26, when the entry period ends. Finalists will then have their ideas rated by the community, with the winner being revealed on April 20. Said winner will get face-mapped into the game, only to be dismembered by a Necromorph. We're not really sure we'd want to see our own death -- in a video game or some lame movie, but there it is.

If you're looking for more info, head past the break for a video explaing how you can get involved.

Kyle Gray and Kyle Gabler, of Henry Hatsworth and World of Goo fame, respectively, have formed a new studio, along with Experimental Gameplay Project co-founder Allan Blomquist. In announcing this new "Tomorrow Corporation," the group managed to lampoon both indie developers and large studios, with statements like, "The secret to a truly great indie game is that special human touch, which our producers have scheduled for insertion shortly before the product ships."

Tomorrow Corporation has yet to announce a game, though it has been working on "an actual real game for months now." If only there was some sort of developer-centric event, maybe one with a specialized indie component, during which they could make an announcement. Perhaps ... tomorrow?

Final Fantasy II (actually Final Fantasy IV) is one of the most important role-playing games of all time. Not only was it the first to introduce the ATB system (Active Time Battle), but it also had an incredibly ambitious plot and, frankly, a downright great opening sequence. It would help bring the world to the JRPG (and vice versa), so however you choose to play through this bit of classic gaming, do it. You owe it to yourself to do that at least once in your life.

"New information has been released from Nexon about MapleStory DS.

In 2009 I reported that MapleStory DS would be released in January 2010, but now their decision is final.

The game is scheduled to launch in Korea on April 15, 2010.

MapleStory DS is a DS adaption of the popular online game MapleStory.
The game is developed by Nexon in cooperation with Nintendo.

This handheld version will feature the four original jobs: a Warrior, Thief, Archer and Magician.
Each character will have their own storyline.

MapleStory DS is not an online game, but it sort of connects with it, by including codes for exclusive virtual items.

The estimated price for MapleStory DS will be around $35.
A special edition bundle  with a Nintendo DSi  & MapleStory DS will be available for around $205.

There is currently no release date known for America or Europe."

Capcom heralds "Kill Big" as the tagline for a new Lost Planet 2 trailer -- and you can certainly see why after the break. The trailer's full of big vehicles -- big trains and big helicopter things, all carrying big dudes with big guns and big armor, wearing big helmets with big cylindrical ears. Those big dudes are shooting their big guns at gigantic Akrid and sometimes manning big mechs too.

Everything about Lost Planet 2 is big, in fact -- except for Capcom's video player. It's merely okay-sized. Thankfully, we've got a reasonably-sized YouTube version. So, pick up your Big Gulp of Big Red and take a big sip as you give your mouse a big click to head past the break. And, if you're really big on Lost Planet, join the other obsessives in picking apart the trailer.
