You see that beautiful, HUD-less vista above? It's from Another World, the European name for the beloved Amiga game from Eric Chahi (later ported to PC, Mega Drive / Genesis, SNES, GBA, among other places). Released stateside as Out of This World, the game's 15th anniversary edition (featuring a remastered version of the game, as well as a "making of" video and some other neat bonuses) has just landed on GOG.com for $9.99.

As is the case with other titles on GOG, you're all set to run it in Windows XP or Windows Vista (both 32 and 64-bit), but still no support for you early Windows 7 adopters (not to mention any of you running OS X). If you've yet to play Another World, well, what's wrong with you? Seriously, it's a great game (not to mention highly influential). Speaking of platform support, why hasn't this made its way to XBLA or PSN yet?

There's Wipeout, the now Sony-exclusive futuristic racing game series, and Wipeout: The Game, the new Wii and DS game based on the game show about people falling off of elaborate obstacle courses.

This Wipeout is a four-player game in which opponents can taunt and throw stuff at each other as they attempt the show's trademark (and not at all inspired by Ninja Warrior) obstacle courses. Of course, the show's hosts will provide in-game commentary. Commentary like you'll hear in the video after the break, in which yelling men ride foam rockets while the hosts relentlessly mock their intellligence and weight. Wipeout: The Game will be out this summer, "just in time for the premiere of the TV show's highly anticipated 3rd season."

This week’s episode is called “Buzz In or Buzz Off.” The remaining 6 (only 6!) gamers take on a BUZZ!-themed quiz challenge testing their mastery of all things PlayStation. It really heats up when SCEA’s Director of First Party Quality Assurance, Jeff Wilkerson, joins the panel this week to evaluate who might have what it takes to work on one of his QA teams. There’s no place to hide in this episode and somebody is bound to crack under the pressure.

This knowledge challenge is anything but trivial. Who’s got the answers? Who has no clue?

Find out in Episode 5 and witness every twitch, lip quiver, high-five and blank stare to see who goes on and who goes home.

The Tester is available in both Standard and High Definition formats from PlayStation Store and also showing in PlayStation Home – Theater 8, where another free cast T-shirt will be rewarded. (This week, it’s a “Luge” shirt.) ‘The Tester’ commemorative items are also available in the Theater and Central Plaza kiosks.

And, also running through this weekend, you can catch up on the first half of the season during a special ‘The Tester’ Marathon of the first 4 episodes playing back-to-back in a separate theater through Sunday, March 21.

Thanks again for downloading and watching the series. Enjoy Episode 5 (of only 8)!

We know you probably flew into a rage when a recent Title Update denied you a few precious seconds of Metro 2033 play time, but we've been assured by developer 4A Games that it's all for a good cause: To prepare for upcoming DLC. On the game's official Facebook page, a spokesperson confirmed that additional content was in the works, but didn't provide much detail, saying only that multiplayer would be impossible and that "it won't be new SP narrative content, 'missing levels' or anything like that - it's something we're only just starting production on."

Wait, it won't be new single-player story bits or multiplayer, so what does that leave? While novel, we're not sure "Flashlight Hand-Cranking Time Attack" would be a huge step forward.

If you're hoping to live out your fantasy of being TV's Dr. Gregory House without the crippling addiction to painkillers and misanthropy, Atlus is here to give you a taste with the last of their Trauma Team previews, this time centering on diagnostician Gabriel Cunningham.

Of course, as you already know, the department of diagnostics isn't a real thing. But if you can pretend that an adult plumber with overalls, a bushy mustache and white gloves is not only a permissible human being but also a hero, we figure nothing's out of bounds.
