505 Games has announced that A2M's adorable cotton-shredder, Naughty Bear, will stalk retail shelves this summer on June 8. The game follows the eponymous Naughty Bear, who finds something very odd about his usually pleasant surroundings and neighbors -- and then attempts to resolve it by making everyone hug ... a shotgun.

Miyamoto recently said that development on Pikmin 3 is well underway. We haven’t heard anyone at Nintendo talk about Pikmin 3 in a long time, so when you hear the head-honcho confirm the game’s progress, you can’t help but get excited. Since we don’t have any idea what Pikmin 3 will look or [...]

A portion of a Eurogamer review… At 60-80 hours in length, and given the fittingly near-infinite customisability of your fleet, Infinite Space offers a massive chunk of fun for those who can forgive its foibles, but many will find the barriers to real enjoyment too high due to poor usability. "Are you saying BioWare fast turnaround?" company co-founder Greg Zeschuk asks jokingly. The respected RPG developer has been known for taking its time with producing hits like Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate, but has seemingly never been as prolific as it has been in recent months -- just over two years after being acquired by EA. How's this for fast turnaround? Dragon Age: Origins in November 2009, Mass Effect 2 in January, Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening in March and several DLC packs in-between (and more on the way).

We spoke with BioWare co-founders and super-doctors Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka at the Game Developers Conference about their improved production pipeline, the practical challenges of creating DLC and, of course, how fast the turnaround could be on Mass Effect 3*.

TikGames is launching yet another game on PS3 this week via the PlayStation Network: Hamsterball, a self-described, hamster-themed mix of "Marble Madness and Super Monkey Ball." As with other games featuring plastic-trapped mammals, Hamsterball looks to be a race through suspended mazes, with the goal of achieving faster and faster completion times.

In addition to the requisite single-player campaign, Hamsterball also features a two-player split-screen mode and a seven-player "sumo" mode. We're not entirely sure what "sumo" is supposed to mean, but it's true that the PS3 can support up to 7 controllers locally -- so will Hamsterball be one of the few games to actually support this feature?

Hamsterball will be available for $9.99 on the North American PlayStation Store this Thursday, March 25.

[The Illustrated London News; October 13, 1888] Of the many highlights from the Wedbush firm's visit to EA HQ last week, as recorded in analyst Michael Pachter's report on the publisher released to media outlets today, one stuck out like, well, a 19th century serial killer. Pachter has apparently announced Ripper, a "new PSN, Xbox Live game" from Visceral Games. In other words, put two and two together, my dear Watson, and that rumored Jack the Ripper game is actually Visceral Games' reported downloadable project.

Pachter's notes don't provide additional details on the Ripper game and only reiterate that Visceral also has Dead Space 2 in development. When questioned, a Visceral Games representative issued a "no comment" to Joystiq. We'll keep sleuthing around for clues-- but in the meantime, please report any suspicious-looking games to our tips line.'Ripper' is Visceral Games' PSN & XBLA game, according to Pachter report
