"Value over here!"

If you've wanted to move on to Left 4 Dead 2's new foursome of survivors but were afraid we'd judge you because of our not-so-hot review, we have two important notes: one, we appreciate the sentiment, but you're probably worrying too much about what we think; and, two, you can pick up the game for just $34 on Xbox 360 -- or just $24 on PC -- today from Amazon, which even we haters can agree is a steal.

Even if you're a total Left 4 Dead 1 devotee, aren't you the least bit curious how your beloved quartet of zombie slayers will be tied to the new kids?

While you wait for the release of WarioWare D.I.Y., why not get your learn on? Following the beginner-level tutorials released last week, Nintendo has put together a series of intermediate guides to the microgame creation process. Study these and you should be able to hit the ground running, translating your ridiculous ideas to ridiculous games in no time.

Actually, F.Y.I., D.I.Y. forces you through a tutorial when you first begin the game, so you'll be familiar with this material no matter what. But you might as well learn how it works now and start planning your game designs in advance!

Here we are, just three short days away from the inaugural PAX on the East Coast, and CD Projekt has gone right ahead and confirmed the sequel to the hack-n-slash RPG The Witcher via the first official trailer, posted on GameTrailers. As suggested last September, the new trailer reveals that The Witcher 2 will be subtitled "Assassins of Kings," though a publisher and proposed release date have yet to be confirmed.

Additionally, no mention of projected release platforms is made in the trailer, and GameTrailers only lists "PC," seemingly refuting earlier claims that The Witcher 2 could arrive on consoles. Check out the full two-minute reveal after the break.

As much as I enjoyed the original Street Fighter IV, as was apparent in our Joystiq review, I quickly moved on from the game. The breakup wasn't caused by boredom or waning adoration but frustration. It was me -- eventually, I found that the online competition far surpassed my skill set.

I love me some Street Fighter, but I've never been especially good at it. My time with the Super Street Fighter IV preview build has only served to solidify the truth: I need to step up my game because Capcom looks to prove -- yet again -- that Street Fighter is the premiere fighting game franchise.

Hello everybody!

This is Dave Connelly, President of Coresoft, letting you know that we have some great additions coming this week that will enhance your High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition experience. First off, we have added 30 trophies to the game so now you can show off your poker skills to all your friends and everyone else on the network. We’ve gone global, bringing you eight languages to the North American version so you can select games by region or by the language.

We are also excited to announce that we have developed a brand new add-on, coming to the PlayStation Network this week. You can now play the all new Connelly Card Club, created with high-definition detail. Included with the CCC 3D environment are four new game variations including Double-Flop Hold’em, Deuce to Seven Triple Draw, Five-Card Triple Draw, and Five-Card Stud where you can earn an additional 15 trophies.

We hope you enjoy the update and add-on and we’ll see you at the tables!

In a video interview posted by Game-Vid and reported by Dutch tech site Tweakers, a kind of nervous-sounding Folkert Langeveld, PlayStation marketing manager for Sony Benelux, appears to have outed LittleBigPlanet 2. His Dutch-language speech about the PlayStation Move hits all the familiar bullet points: support for downloadable games like Hustle Kings, new games like The Shoot, and major releases like SOCOM 4. The thing is, he also name-drops a "LittleBigPlanet Twee" -- or, in English, "LittleBigPlanet Two." (See the video interview after the break.)

While it makes sense on a base level for Sony to release a sequel to one of its flagship games, we're leaving the possibility open that Langeveld simply misspoke, for a couple of reasons: First, Sony has made repeated reference to Move support for the original LittleBigPlanet, something that Langeveld didn't mention; and second, Media Molecule level designer Danny Leaver once said that a sequel would be "the most counterproductive thing you could do I think." Of course, Leaver may have been overruled by Media Molecule's Alex Evans, who said last year that he would "love there to be a sequel" -- and overruled by Sony, which owns the studio now.

While Microsoft may have stated up, down and sidesaddle that the 250GB version of its Xbox 360 HDD would remain exclusive to special console bundles (e.g., Modern Warfare 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction), it would appear that the particular drive will arrive as a standalone accessory sometime soon. As spotted by eagle-eyed Joystiq reader Rodney in the Spotlight section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard (pictured above), the accessory should be available at "participating retailers" rather soon -- the ad's wording indicates that the HDD might already be on store shelves (as of this writing, Amazon has the product listed without a price).

We can't say we're exactly shocked by the news (though it is of course odd to see a reveal through our Xbox's Dashboard) as we've been hearing rumblings about a standalone version of the 250GB HDD for quite some time -- one even popped up on the aforementioned retail websites earlier this month bearing ... today's date! We've asked Microsoft for pricing and release info, but until the West Coast wakes up, we've got this thrilling hi-res gallery of the advertisement for you just below.

[Thanks Rodney!]
