Microsoft has sent out a "save the date" email announcing its major events leading up to E3 2010 (June 15-17). The first event, the "World Premiere 'Project Natal' for Xbox 360 Experience," is open to all ages and will be held on Sunday, June 13 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. No further details have been provided, though Microsoft announced earlier this month that it's bringing "the full lineup" of Natal titles to E3.

The following morning, on Monday, June 14, Microsoft will hold its annual E3 media briefing at the Wiltern Theater. The event will be restricted to ages 18 and older. With the media getting a taste of Natal the night before, it should be interesting to see what Microsoft has up its sleeve for the actual briefing. Expect more details on both events in the near future.

A portion of an N-Sider review… …I think that between the plethora of puzzles, the ways it twists up my brain in new and enjoyable ways, and the bonuses like the level editor and unlockable time- and move-limited challenge modes, it comes close, though $30 feels a touch steep in 2010. It’s a delight for the [...]

Hi Everyone – It’s time for the weekly digital comics update for the PSP. As mentioned last week Markosia Enterprises has joined the Digital Comics team. This week they made their debut on the store and brought a house-warming gift for all of our readers, a free comic, Kong: King of Skull Island. Now I’m sure a lot of you have questions after King Kong’s fall from the Empire State Building. Luckily all of your questions and more will be answered in this prequel/sequel based on the book by Joe DeVito.

Also, another highlight of the week comes from IDW as they deliver a new series from the Transformer franchise, Transformers Movie Sequel: The Reign of Starscream. The comic comes with audio commentary. If you have never experienced audio commentary or don’t know how to turn it on, you can enable this sweet feature under the extras tab on the summary screen for titles that support audio commentary.

As always if you need or crave more info go on digital comics go to www.playstationcomics.com.

Coming from the official Nicalis Twitter account… Cave Story hit number 1 on the Wii Shop Store Top 20. It’s all thanks to everyone. Pulling of the #1 position against the likes of Pokemon, Frogger and Mega Man?! That’s a pretty huge accomplishment, if you ask me. How many of you guys snatched the game [...]

Feeling blue today? Maybe it's because you sensed that Sega was going to make your eyes tear up (in a good way) with these razor-sharp new Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 screenshots. Or maybe you're just down in the dumps; in which case, we're sorry to here it -- and we really hope these screens cheer you up.

The new images feature the already revealed Splash Hill Zone, this time with Sonic racing through it at sunset. Of course, without any more information, we don't know if this is a later act in the stage, or if the time of day will change dynamically mid-level. We can tell you that we think the lighting looks great, even if Sonic's true blue coloring appears to be unaffected by it (probably due to a clause in his contract).

Check out the full set of screens in the high-res gallery below.

A portion of a Nintendo Life review… Drift Street Racing is a solid little racer that gear heads and speed demons may get a kick out of, but it’s tough to recommend over the more robust competition. It doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel but aims to deliver a pretty round one instead that’s worth a [...]

Not to be outdone by the brick-and-mortar antics of Wal-Mart, Amazon is offering a $20 credit toward future game purchases for pre-ordering Super Mario Galaxy 2. It's like your saving money on video games from the future. The news follows the discovery that Wal-Mart is offering the same deal for both Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Halo: Reach. As we reported earlier this morning, Amazon has also countered the Reach offer. With Mario being discounted as well, it's pretty clear that Amazon doesn't want to be undercut on either potential blockbuster.

[Famitsu] Last week's sale continues, joined by even more discounts. If you wanted to buy something on PSN before -- particularly a Sega product -- and it was too expensive, you should check the list this week. Odds are, it's cheaper now!

In less bargain-oriented news, there's now a Mega Man 10 dynamic theme. Sony finally found the right weapon against which our resolve is weakest.
