DICE informed us at PAX East that it will continue to support its hit title Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with patching, however one thing it won't "fix" is players accidentally picking up kits from corpses when trying to activate M-COM stations in rush mode. With millions of copies sold so far, the kit kerfuffle is a problem we've consistently heard and experienced. Little did we know that there's been a remedy to the issue all along, as Bad Company 2 producer Gordon Van Dyke told us that players can press the M-COM activation button early. He expressed that BC2 players should spread the word.
Turns out that if players hold the M-COM activation button (example: the B button on Xbox 360) before the prompt displays, they'll be able to initiate (or deactivate) the station once in range. This avoids the frustration of picking up kits off the stacks of bodies that inevitably pile up next to the boxes. It's a rather simple solution to one of the most frustrating elements in the excellent multiplayer shooter.
We actually already knew about these, thanks to some hackers out there that sifted through the content of Mega Man 10. Now Capcom has officially announced the details, and given us a date as to when these goodies will be up for grabs.
We’re very excited to announce the special time attack stages and bosses [...]
these better not be time attack oriented like Fakeman's stage in MM9 or I'm going to be pissed.

Most Xbox Live Arcade enthusiasts likely aren't familiar with Halfbrick Studios, the Brisbane, Australia-based studio that's only previous work on the platform involved Indie Games that weren't very successful. After switching gears and offering some PSP Minis titles, the dev studio is back on Xbox with Raskulls, a polished and quirky game that has a variety of inspirations, from Mario Kart to Bomberman to, most notably, Mr. Driller.

Monday Night Combat sort of came out of the blue when it was announced earlier this year. At the time, we were impressed by the game's visuals and the promise of class-based shooter action all contained in a bite-sized XBLA form factor. Now, a new trailer has been released and, thankfully, the gameplay is more complex than it appeared at first glance. The mode showcased in the trailer, called "Crossfire," plays out something like a capture the flag or king of the hill mode with a few twists. Each side attempts to breach its opponents' defenses and destroy their "Money Ball" in order to win the match. In order to do this, players upgrade their abilities, place defensive turrets and push through with the help of AI-controlled robots. The trailer shows off several different classes, including a deadly sniper, lithe assassin/scout and a 'heavy' wearing some mean looking mech armor.
Unfortunately, the trailer fails to answer the most important question about Crossfire mode: Will you get caught up in it?

We've covered Skate 3's new focus on co-operative challenges, managing a team of skaters and selling some skateboards -- but the raw experience of getting on the virtual board and busting tricks, not much has changed significantly. And that's why the new difficulty levels were such an interesting addition for me.
