if you're interested at all in starting up a podcast or want to know more about what goes into creating one, the PAX East panel hosted by Gamers With Jobs' Julian Murdoch and attended by podcasting professionals Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, Insomniac Games' James Stevenson, Irrational Games' Ken Levine and Shawn Elliott, and EA's Jeff Green is a pretty enlightening listen

We were anxious to hear what the group had to say on the subject of using podcasts for promotion -- and we recorded it because, well, you might be interested too! For the full, unedited (and very NSFW) audio, click on the play button below. Highlights include outlining the value in podcasting, being on the front lines of PR when something bad goes down and answering questions on how to get a podcast off the ground and cultivating an audience. So, we know that two of the four slots for alternate realities in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will be filled by the classic Peter Parker from Amazing Spider-Man and the 1930s take of Spider-Man: Noir. But we're totally in the dark about the remaining two continuities that will be featured.

So, since it's anybody's guess, we thought we'd make a few of our own. Excelsior!

By now, it should be apparent that Sam Fisher is no one to be trifled with. We've watched him slamming heads against toilets and executing hapless henchmen for some time now, but maybe there are still a few people out there that don't quite get it. Obviously aware of this problem, Ubisoft has released a launch trailer for Splinter Cell: Conviction that should make things perfectly clear. With a little help from Johnny Cash, the trailer pretty much spells it out: Mess with Sam Fisher and, sooner or later, he will cut you down.

Watch the trailer. Watch, and wait.
