0.13: Our first proper look at Galaxy 2’s ‘hub’, if you can call it that. It appears that this giant Mario head acts as some kind of ship in which Mario traverses the galaxy. The original’s freeform structure has been replaced by a linear world map progression, as seen in the New Super Mario Bros. [...]

If it wasn't evident by now, we're absolutely in love with the upcoming PSP shooter The Flying Hamster. It's bizarre, and more importantly, absolutely adorable. We've only seen screens of the game so far, but with the release of its new official website, we can finally see the game (and its weapons) in action.

The first three videos introduce some of the tactics players can use. The default weapon appears to be some kind of hamster spit, which can be charged to produce a more substantial ball of wet destruction. Other weapons include sunflower seeds and berries, which can be charged to devastating effect. While these may not seem like the most appropriate weapons to use in a shooter, they certainly match the zany character of the game. Seriously, it's hard not to laugh while watching these videos.

You can check out all the action after the break.

It's been quite a while since we've heard anything about the upcoming Wii port of the 2003 Starbreeze Xbox and PC title, Enclave. Now we've got a few new tidbits on the Wii port. First and foremost, the game now has a publisher in TopWare Interactive, the same publisher behind the upcoming open-world fantasy Two Worlds 2. TopWare has acquired the worldwide IP and trademark rights for the game and will bring it to the Wii with the new title Enclave: Shadows of Twilight.

Shadows of Twilight will take advantage of the Wii Remote and will add some other new features including a better save system -- you can actually save at any time now -- and a new tutorial. Furthermore, both the light and dark campaigns will be unlocked from the beginning. There is, unfortunately, one detail still missing from the press release: The release date. As of last year, the game was slated for "early 2010" so hopefully we'll hear something soon.

In the meantime, check out a trailer for the original game after the break.

Looks like the Walmart ad we posted yesterday actually undersold the number of PS3 games that Sony will soon add to the $30 Greatest Hits collection. The following 10 titles will be decked in red and reduced in price in the U.S. and Canada within the next few weeks:
  • inFAMOUS (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • God of War Collection (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • Killzone 2 (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • Resistance 2 (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • Dead Space (Electronic Arts)
  • Fight Night Round 4 (EA Sports)
  • Resident Evil 5 (Capcom)
  • Soulcalibur IV (NAMCO BANDAI Games)
  • UFC 2009 Undisputed (THQ)
That's a pretty good assortment of quality titles -- assuming, of course, that this isn't some kind of horribly distasteful April Fools' Day joke.
