Here's something we wouldn't have guessed we'd be talking about today -- at least not for real: a WiiWare game about fish playing sports, and also eating ravenously. But that's exactly what Equilibrio creator DK Games has presented us with. Fishie Fishie is based on a one-button PC game by Captain Forever creator Farbs, about a fish who must eat continuously.

DK Games seems to have added some strange extra modes for the WiiWare version, essentially turning it into a multiplayer sports game. That you control by flapping your fins to swim. See Fishie Fishie football and more weirdness in the trailer after the break.

After an unprecedented rush of Q1 releases, April is actually looking a little more like itself in 2010. There are a couple of big titles, your Splinter Cell: Convictions and your Super Street Fighter IVs, but it looks like, by and large, your wallets may get a slight reprieve until May.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. First and foremost, the trailer should do quite a bit to please fans hoping for a return to the days of Sands of Time. The whole trailer is highly reminiscent of the game that brought the Prince back to gaming way back in 2003, which is no coincidence. At PAX East, Ubisoft told us quite a bit about the ways that Forgotten Sands will return to the roots of the series, something we got to experience with our own hands-on time with the title. You can check out the platform-filled, trap-laden video above.

In other news, the video also announced the Collector Edition of the game. The Xbox and PS3 editions will include the XBLA and PSN versions of Prince of Persia Classic, confirming a rumor that began floating around earlier this year. The PC version will include a copy of Sands of Time. The Collector Edition will also feature bonus in-game content, including a survival mode, sand wraith skin and Malik skin. It's worth pointing out that this is a European trailer for the game, so it's possible that the Collector Edition won't make it to other regions. We've contacted Ubisoft for more details -- including the price -- and will update this post with any new information.

The console versions of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands releases May 18 with a PC release following in June.

Admitting that the ability to create and play as a female agent in the first Crackdown was originally intended (but eventually cut), Billy Thomson, Ruffian Games creative director and former lead designer of Crackdown at Realtime Worlds, explained to 1UP that the functionality won't be making an appearance in the sequel either. According to Thomson, it was excluded from the first game due to memory constraints that would've required a "massive reduction" to other parts of the game.

Similar limitations will keep playable female characters out of Crackdown 2 at launch, Thomson claimed. "You've got four players (in cooperative play), and that means every single player can be a different character, and that has to be in memory all the time ... we had to save memory all over the place because we've got so much more content in this game than we had in the first game ... we don't stream." While the studio isn't making any promises about a female agent DLC update, "we never know what happens in the future," teased producer James Cope.

This week on The Tester, we find out who has what it takes to make it to the “final three.” It is not going to be easy. In Episode 7, “Killer Recall,” Amped, Cyrus, Nauseous, and Star must memorize self-defense combinations and use them against a gauntlet of attackers in a live game scenario. The grueling mental and physical challenge puts contestants’ individual memorization abilities to the test — a key skill needed to recreate game bugs or follow critical procedures in the QA environment. You don’t want to miss this episode!

On hand to evaluate who’s got all the right moves is God of War III’s Director of Product Development, John Hight. A industry veteran with dozens of titles to his credit and a Cinematic Arts Professor at USC to boot John’s got an excellent eye for talent.

The Tester is available in both Standard and High Definition formats from the PlayStation Store and also showing in PlayStation Home – Theater 8, where another free cast T-shirt (Doc’s) will be rewarded. Also, check out this week’s commemorative item available in the Theater and Central Plaza kiosks.

Thanks again for downloading and watching The Tester. Don’t miss the season finale next Thursday, April 8 when we find out who wins the job at Sony Computer Entertainment America.
