It pains me so much to see the beautiful Klonoa remake on Wii ignored by the public. Doesn’t anyone out there like Klonoa? This is a colorful platformer on Wii that somehow got brushed under the carpet. How is it that this title didn’t become a success?! What better platform is [...]

The accessory you see above is tied to Physiofun Balance Training, an upcoming Wii/WiiWare game that we really don’t know all that much about. The odd thing is, you can actually buy the accessory for your board right now…if you shop through Amazon Germany. The accessory’s point is to increase the surface area [...]

Yes, Playboy actually had some features outside of nudity. Actually, most of Playboy magazine isn’t nudity, but that’s another story altogether. Sadness isn’t coming out on Wii, or any other platform. The project just wasn’t meant to be, and it seems that everyone involved is jumping ship. Most recently, the composer on the project dumped 13 tracks from the game, since his hard work wasn’t going to be appreciated otherwise. You can hit [...]

In a recent interview with G4TV, Harmonix's Chris Foster revealed that Green Day's dumbest album will be featured in its entirety in the band's upcoming dedicated rhythm game. Yes, Green Day: Rock Band will feature all 13 tracks from the rock outfit's 2004 album "American Idiot," which features the song "American Idiot," which starts, "Don't wanna be an American Idiot."

We know there are plenty of youngsters who prefer "American Idiot," but we'd much rather hear that all of "Dookie" or "Insomniac" would be included in the game. Or all of "Vox Humana." Which -- nope, wait. Yeah, that's Kenny Loggins. We mixed up Green Day and Kenny Loggins again.

While we might argue that Infinity Ward's 2009 follow up to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, likely earned the lion's share of its sales through Infinity Ward's history of making quality games, building a strong and loyal fanbase, and, well, the very fact that it was a sequel to an insanely high-selling game, the marketing team behind MW2 would likely disagree. Speaking at this week's MI6 Conference (and picked up by VentureBeat), contract marketing team The Ant Farm discussed some of the reasons that the sequel's advertising campaign worked so well -- and helped the title sell millions more copies than it would have without.

"With us, it became a challenge of basically breaking it down to 'how do we engage the core first?'," explained Ant Farm executive creative director Rob Troy. "By the time you see the invasion on US soil, which was a secret for a long time, you definitely wanna go out there and kick some ass." For him, the marketing campaign was about slowly doling out aspects of the story while keeping fans in the dark about specifics, and resulted in a resounding success. We have to imagine landing commercial premieres during major sporting events likely helped out the sales as well, not to mention those MW2-branded energy drinks. Also, hey, blowing up castles is always a good way to advertise your product -- let's not kid ourselves, folks.

We've embedded the whole conversation for your viewing pleasure after the break.

Are you one of the few that still need new content on your PS2? Looks like Sony may be reaching into the depths of its PSP archive to find more ports to bring to the aging console. The ESRB has appended its rating for Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow -- the latest (and arguably greatest) entry in Sony's stealth franchise -- with both PSP and PS2 as the listed platforms.

It seems quite a stretch that Sony would invest the time and money to release a PS2 port so late into its life cycle (we've contacted Sony and the ESRB, to be clear). And while Logan's Shadow is a terrific game, it's strange that Sony would want to port a game that is already nearly three years old. Perhaps that effort could be better used on creating a PS3 iteration of the franchise?

[Thanks, Matt S.]
