Unless you make your living from science, a table of elements is a pretty boring thing. But not when it includes gaming concoctions like Imulsion (Gears of War), Tiberium (Command & Conquer) and Element Zero (Mass Effect). More »

No matter how many times I’ve played it, Doom is still just as fun as the first time. It also doesn’t matter what platform I play it on. There may be some technical issues between versions, but no matter how bad a dev screws something up, they just can’t seem to yank the [...]

I want to make sure this is said before anything else. The only reason I’m posting this up is because so many people are sending it my way. I personally do not believe the date.
With that said, here’s what GameStop has as the placeholder date for Legend of Zelda Wii. As you [...]
It seems like some people are having trouble keeping track of their Pokewalker! Here I am, thinking that most people just slip it into a pocket and have nary a worry until they get home to see what they’ve accomplished. Unfortunately, some people end up losing their Pokewalkers between point A and point [...]

Indie studio Dejobaan Games, best known for AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, is giving out a free game when folks sign up for its "Free, Sexy Dejobaan Fan Club." The studio tells us that the fan club, for which over 1,000 have registered since PAX East, will also grant participants access to future alphas and betas. Because, if you're a true fan, you'll help with the bug testing process for free and love the studio anyway.
In addition to the free game, those who sign up will also receive a song by studio founder Ichiro Lambe. Although the studio hasn't announced its next "real" game yet, it is currently "very strongly prototyping" the Musorqua project.
The fifth-generation Pokemon game has been announced! At least, the titles for it have -- Pokemon Black and White are the next generation of Pokemon games, to be released this fall on DS in Japan.
Nintendo's going for relatively simple colors after things like "HeartGold" and "Pearl." And ... that's pretty much all we know. Of course, given the way the series works, we can all kind of guess exactly how this will play.
The first new creature from this generation has already been revealed as a sort of teaser: Zoroark, the Monster Fox Pokemon. The teaser site indicates that we'll know more April 15.

To remind press about the upcoming release of Final Fight: Double Impact, and to fill all but a few lucky people with painful jealousy, Capcom is sending out these delightful press kits, inside (what else) a breakaway barrel.
Packed within that powerup distribution vessel is an arcade token with images from both Final Fight and Magic Sword, a copy of the soundtrack on cassette(!), "Ninja vs. Bear" and "Haggar for Mayor" badges, a reversible t-shirt with one of the two games on each side, and a can of pink hair color spray, in honor of Final Fight's Poison.
Non-press members will have an opportunity to get one of these from Capcom's online store, but you'll have to be vigilant! In the meantime, see the press kit unbarreled after the break, thanks to Ars Technica.
