We’ve always been BIG fans of our fans.

We’ve seen pictures of people shoving cake in their mouths to win a code to be included in our initial online beta back in 2009. We’ve gasped in amazement at some truly epic battles captured from gameplay and posted on YouTube. And we’ve been graced with the beauty of fans donned in stunning Fat Princess cosplay.

So it got us thinking…who really is the biggest Fat Princess fan?

Our good friends over at Atomic Operations decided to pose that question at large, and are holding a contest starting today, Friday April 16, 2010. Show that YOU are the Biggest Fan of Fat Princess, and an AI character will be named after you in the next FP Patch Release.

There isn’t much time, so go to the Atomic Operations website NOW for all the details on how to enter and win.

Stay tuned, see you all on the battlefield, and as always…

Cake for everyone,

The Fat Princess Team

P.S. Don’t forget about next week’s San Francisco Fat Princess tournament!

A chart like this really gives you an idea of how each console is doing as the years roll on. Microsoft has a nice steady line for their holiday seasons, but Nintendo keeps seeing bigger climbs each time. Will they be able to go even bigger with sales next year?

Capcom's about a month late to use a classic Mega Man game as a promotional tool for Mega Man 10, but that's okay! Mega Man 4 is now available on the European Virtual Console, and even though it's slightly mis-timed, the end result is that you can buy another Mega Man game right now. Also available on Wii is Ghostfire Games' gladiatorial Punch-Out!! variant, Rage of the Gladiator.

DSiWare's new downloads include a collection of puzzle games (sudoku, kakuro, anagrams, etc.) and the downloadable version of Mr. Driller.
  • Mega Man 4 (NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points)
  • Rage of the Gladiator (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
  • Bloons (WiiWare, 1 player, 500 Wii Points)
  • Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs - Fight For Survival (DSiWare, 1-2 players, 800 DSi Points)
  • Mr. Driller Drill Till You Drop (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)
  • Pocket Pack: Words & Numbers (DSiWare, 1-6 players, 500 DSi Points)
  • System Flaw: Recruit (DSiWare, 1 players, 500 DSi Points)

Hmmm…last I checked, Modern Warfare 2 wasn’t available on Wii. Either GameStop got a huge scoop, or someone in the marketing department wasn’t paying attention! Thanks to boymacwerter for the heads up!

The hints were all there, but a recent invitation from Valve confirms it: Portal 2 will be at E3. Hosting a press event at the Regal Theater in the LA Live Event Center the night of June 14th, Valve will give those lucky enough to have that press card in their wallet (attend 12 events and you get a free sandwich!) a look at the game.

No word on what parts of the game we'll get to see, but anything at this point is welcome ... mostly because we haven't seen anything yet.

It looks like Trackmania Turbo is going to be pushed back quite a bit in Europe. If Amazon’s listing for the game is correct, the title is now due out on September 16th. That’s quite a delay, considering how the game was originally due to ship in May. Let’s hope the game [...]

Was Grand Theft Auto IV mind-numbingly easy for you? Or controller-throwingly frustrating? Rockstar is attempting to scale the difficulty of its next open-world game, Red Dead Redemption, to accommodate players of all abilities. "We've implemented levels of difficulty into the game that employ different types of auto-aiming," a new Rockstar Games blog post explains. "Casual mode gives you a full auto-aim system (and faster regenerating health). Normal mode features snap-to-target with precise aiming using the right stick. Expert mode implements free aim with no lock-on at all."

According to the post, this is actually the first time Rockstar has implemented multiple difficulty settings in its open world games. It's certainly an interesting approach to take: changing the actual method of gameplay, versus simply scaling enemy and player health. Will it be successful, though? Even Rockstar seems uncertain: "We will be interested to see what people think having played with each option."

This trailer is for the HD XBLA version of Earthworm Jim. While we won’t be getting HD on Wii, Gameloft has already said that the game will look/play/sound the same on all digital versions. So, check out the footage in the video below, and just imagine it in a lower resolution!
