#stickjockey Maybe no other sport is influenced this much by irregular stadium dimensions. Maybe no other sport has fans who'd care about this. But how you see a baseball game on TV is unique, park-to-park. In video games, however, it's uniform. More »

Aha! That's why no one's talking about it! The first video and details on Halo: Reach's "Invasion" mode were shown off exclusively in last night's episode of GameTrailers TV, with Bungie additionally dishing some deets about the game we'd yet to hear. As we already know, Invasion is a game mode that's only available in Boneyard (also scantly detailed until now) and, as promised, features a ton of vehicles. The multi-tiered level unlocks in "three phases (similar to Bad Company 2's "Rush" mode), with various weapon loadouts and vehicles becoming available alongside it.

Among the smattering of new footage, Bungie reps introduce the human grenade launcher and plasma launcher, two exciting looking additions to the Halo arsenal. Unfortunately, when pressed on whether or not ODST's Firefight mode would be making a return appearance in Reach, Bungie's Chris Carney says that the mode "is not in the beta" and he's "not sure what those guys have planned." As you might expect, there's also a tease that we'll hear more about the game (campaign mode specifically) "in June."

Ubisoft announced last month that its Wii public humiliation simulator Just Dance had sold two million copies worldwide. Now, based on data from the March NPD report, analyst Ben Schachter estimates that one million copies have been sold in the US alone between the game's November release and the end of March. That's ... a lot of people loading up a cover version of "Womanizer" on their TVs.

236,000 of those copies of Dance were purchased just last month in the US. In contrast, Ubisoft's new Wii release, Red Steel 2, moved 50,000 copies (though it was released on March 23, in all fairness). We look forward to the inevitable knockoffs from other publishers. Anyone for a round of Strictly Toe Tappin'? No? How about We Wiggle Rhythmically? Or Dance Dance Revol -- oh ... right.

Has Demenetium 2 suffered another delay? GameStop currently has the game set for a May 4th release. We’re hearing that shipping delay issues forced the push-back. Man, everytime we get close to this game, it slips away!

I’m really starting to wonder just how much of a chance Conduit 2 has when it comes to sales. The first title is higher up than I thought, and I think it’s all because of sequel buzz. Are you interested in Conduit 2?

Crytek co-founder Cevat Yerli tells Develop that you might be paying money just for the privilege of trying Crysis 2 before it comes out. Yerli calls free game demos an antiquated "luxury" that have become "prohibitively expensive" to produce. The result: many studios will either stop releasing them or try to charge for an early test of the game. EA has already brought this idea up as "pre-launch DLC," and Yerli says that what EA is "really trying to do is get investment back but while being as fair to the gamer as much as it can." He continues, "Ultimately, it will be a better deal for the gamer."

Yerli says his company hasn't yet decided whether there will be a demo for Crysis 2 or not, though he thankfully admits that a paid demo should be "something more than a small demo released for free." Takeaway is the same, regardless: because of the development cost of building a giveaway level or two before launch, Yerli says the days of free demos are numbered.

A new video on the PlayStation.Blog (posted after the break) showcases how easy it is to use the track editor featured in the PSP version of ModNation Racers. In fact, it works nearly the same way as the PS3 version. Yes, there are a few caveats (for example, the auto-complete feature is much more intelligent on the console). However, the track editor gives you all the bells, whistles and launch pads you'll need to create a fun race for portable players.

But of course, you already knew that, right?

Looks like the unnamed "Motion Fighter" for PlayStation Move now has a title. As revealed by the PlayStation.Blog, the game is now known as The Fight: Lights Out. For the uninitiated, The Fight is the Move's take on Punch-Out!, using the camera and two Move controllers to recreate your motions in a one-on-one setting.

Producer John McLaughlin took a few jabs at the competition (read: Wii), emphasizing the visuals of his game. "There's been motion controller games out there without that graphical fidelity, and now on PlayStation 3, it truly is the platform that can deliver everything," McLaughlin stated.

The Fight undoubtedly looks better than a Wii game (as it should), but we're most excited to hear that it runs at 60fps. Obviously, one of the biggest concerns surrounding the Move is the potential for input lag. If The Fight is capable of running at such a high framerate, it better deliver a truly fluid experience. We'll definitely get our hands on an updated build at E3 later this year.
