The popularity of Japanese erotic games does not rest solely on the game's concept, story or illustrations. The actors who lend their vocal talents to the game are important, too. But they're not free! More »

Your adventuring in Final Fantasy XIII may be coming to an end. You can show your fandom for the game by buying a five pound tub of hair gel and cosplaying at the next anime convention ... or you can buy a Final Fantasy XIII-themed outfit for PlayStation Home. Good news: you'll be able to take the easier option later with today's PlayStation Home update.
Costumes for Lightning, Vanille, Sazh and Snow will all be available in the Costumes store in Sony's virtual world. In addition, you'll be able to rock costumes from BioShock 2 with purchasable Big Daddy and Big Sister costumes. Expect Home to have an interesting denizen of costumers this week.

Hello Games' plan was always to release Joe Danger on all digital distribution channels (Xbox 360, PSN and PC) but, as of right now, the game is only confirmed for release on PSN. According to an ESRB certification however, the time for Joe to shine on the PC could be nigh -- a move we entirely endorse.
Based on our time with the title back at GDC, we think the game should be on every platform imaginable (y'know, because it's fun), but the ESRB listing makes no mention of an Xbox 360 release. We've reached out to Hello Games for clarification on which platforms Joe will light up with that million dollar smile of his. We'll keep you posted.

I’m sure most of you know Turok from the various games that have seen release over the years. I’ll never forget my days with the first Turok on the N64. That was really something special…and then the series went down the tubes. Well, at least the comic book series seems to be [...]
There are two things that people will always remember Silver Surfer for on the NES. The first one would have to be the mind-numbing difficulty. The second reason is much more fun.

According to the New York Times, Sony will tomorrow spill the beans on a deal that will see Major League Baseball games streamed live to PlayStation 3 consoles. More »
Are you guys excited for this Halo: Reach thing? Yeah, we're not that concerned with it, but apparently it's kind of a "big deal" or something -- we guess there's a beta coming on May 3? Psh, whatevs. Anyway, according to a The Seattle Times interview with Bungie's Brian Jarrard and Chris Carney, the developer is anticipating quite the turnout.
"My expectation is it could be upwards of 3 million people. I think that's a fairly conservative estimate," Jarrard said. "Certainly there will never be a console beta of this magnitude." That's a considerable increase from the Halo 3 beta, which managed to snag 820,000 participants during its 26-day run during the summer of 2007.
Sure, the inclusion of jetpacks undoubtedly raised some eyebrows, but we would never have thought the potential for atomic teabags would be that big of a selling point. C'est la vie.

At first glance, the PlayStation 3's latest firmware update - which brings the system to v3.30 - seems inconsequential. Some trophy reshuffling. But it's the behind-the-scenes stuff that's more interesting, as it readies the console for 3D gaming. More »
Oh, look! Another PS3 firmware update! That's two in one month, folks. Don't worry, though. Unlike the highly controversial 3.21 update, this revision actually adds functionality to Sony's console.
According to the PlayStation.Blog, 3.30 adds the long-awaited 3D functionality to the system, enabling 3D playback for those of you lucky enough to own a television from the future. In addition, everyone will be able to enjoy an enhanced trophy collection, featuring new sorting methods, to help better organize your PS3 achievements. The update is mandatory, so you should download and install the update if you plan on using any PSN functionality. (ProTip: Your download may be faster if you visit the PlayStation website and save the update to a memory card.)

It's official: Kevin Butler is the worst-case scenario for advertisements. Not only do we enjoy the pseudo-spokesman's pitches for Sony products, not only are we completely swayed by visage, but now we actually care more about the ads than the products they're trying to sell us. Take this ad for ModNation Racersomethingsomething -- oh, who cares what it's called, Kevin Butler has a mustache!
Please, Kevin, if you care about us at all, just hurry up and jump the shark so we can go back to respecting ourselves.
