Big cities in Japan are packed with convenience stores. It seems like there is one on every corner. (Sometimes there is!) There is one that stands out from the rest. More »
Official Nintendo Magazine of Australia and New Zealand is tired of not having Earthbound on the VC. I’m sure hundreds of thousands of Earthbound fans feel the same way. At least the magazine is speaking up on the issue!
Of course, I doubt this will do anything to spur Nintendo on. I swear, [...]
We know that Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, but GameStop is showing us a tentative release date, along with a budget price. Sure, it might only be $10 less top-tier Wii games, but I’ll take the savings anytime I can!
Wii Fit Plus is doing much better than I thought it would be. I didn’t think that many people would be interested in the game, and for this long! Looks like Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus are titles that the expanded audience just can’t get enough of.

On April 19, sister site Gizmodo.com broke the exclusive news that Apple has been working on a new iPhone. Now, authorities are considering whether to file criminal charges over its sale, reports The New York Times. More »

Those looking for a deeper puzzle experience will want to look elsewhere, but for something a little more light-hearted and casual, saving the coral might just be up your alley. And who knows, you might learn something along the way, too.
Where does this little guy come from? Are there any real-world animals or other life forms that have helped contribute to the design and abilities of Castform? I’m not anywhere near qualified to start figuring that stuff out, but those much more fluent in the world of Pokemon are well equipped to answer. [...]
Don’t you hate just having loose NES games strewn about? Actually…I don’t mind NES games without boxes, but some people do! I mean, there are some games that didn’t even come with boxes in certain situations. Now you can finally give those games a home with these custom-made boxes! Hit up [...]

We can only imagine how difficult and frustrating it must be for a young person diagnosed with diabetes to get into the regular routine of testing their blood glucose level. In an attempt to make this process easier, and to "help build good monitoring habits," Bayer has created the Didget meter, a glucose-measuring device which can connect to an accompanying Nintendo DS game, unlocking in-game rewards for players who test regularly.
You can check out a number of demos for the device and the game, titled Knock 'Em Downs: World's Fair, on Bayer's site. It's currently only available in the U.K. and Ireland for £29.99, and it only works on the original DS and the DS Lite, thanks to the DSi's tragically absent Game Boy Advance cartridge slot.
A couple of years ago, Maxis co-founder Jeff Braun decided it was a good time to start teasing us with the prospect of a new installment in the Oddworld franchise. We've been desperately nurturing that little glimmer of hope since his announcement -- but we might have to extinguish our excitement for the time being. The series' creator, Lorne Lanning, recently told G4TV that the next Oddworld game has been put "on the shelf."
"There's a lot of shakeup going on [in the gaming industry]," Lanning explained, "and in that turmoil, we didn't really want to put the Oddworld brand out there in the middle of it." Looks like our Oddworld desires will have to be sated by the Oddbox collection, which will bring the series' four console outings to Steam later this year.
Blik has showed off some of their upcoming wall graphic sets, and it looks like another gaming legend is going to get to join in on the fun.
No date on the Mega Man set just yet, but I’m sure Capcom and Blik will be filling us in as soon as sets are ready ship. [...]

Apparently, the PS1 version of this game is plagued with some bad loading times, which makes the SNES version much more playable. Now a fan translation of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together has hit the scene, continuing a long tradition of gamers that right the wrongs of publishers and developers!
Looks like the Dragon Warrior logo was going to be a lot more stylized than it turned out to be. This version is so much better than the one that we ended up with! You have to wonder how decisions like this were made.
