We've known for a while that Rocket Knight, Konami's resurrected opossum adventure (a resurrected adventure about an opossum, not an adventure about a resurrected opossum), would land on XBLA, PSN, and Steam in May. On Facebook, Konami just announced precise US arrival dates for the airborne marsupial.

PC and Xbox 360 owners will be able to download the game on May 12, while those looking to play on PS3 will have to wait until May 18 to join the fight against Axel Gear. But what's a six-day wait after the years spent anticipating a new Rocket Knight?

[Thanks, Joey]

Most folks don't know that PS3 Firmware Update 3.30 didn't just prep the system for 3D support, renovate the Trophy section, and totally crash user's lengthy Dragon Age: Origins sessions. It also added a tab under the "Remote Play" section of the XMB - an unassuming option simply labeled "PC."

The notes accompanying the update confirm that "future models of the VAIO PC" will be able to access certain titles on the PSN, though the full capacity of said access is unknown. The notes mentioned that further details on the VAIO's Remote Playability will be announced on Sony's website next month. Until then, you can keep on playing your PSN games on your PS3, just like you always have, since the dawn of time, you caveman.

Monster Hunter Tri is dangerous business. So dangerous, in fact, that Capcom felt the need to warn us about some of the harder-to-hunt monsters. In the last entry in its "Dangerous Guide to Monster Hunting," the publisher introduces the "Alatreon," which sounds like something that should only be taken on by the craziest, death-wishingest of hunters.

After the break, you can see footage of the dragon tearing around a lava pit, where it apparently lives. At Capcom-Unity, you can read all about how these things " mercilessly tear apart whoever touches their sharp scales," and are so powerful that "their actions can affect the very weather." Okay, now who's ready to go swing a sword at one of these?

The post also features links to the other entries in the "Dangerous Guide," so you can read up on the other creatures you'd have to be a reckless idiot to fight.

THQ and Syfy aren't just making De Blob into a cartoon and Red Faction into a TV movie -- they also announced that they'll turn the TV show Ghost Hunters Academy into a game. In the new iPhone/iPad/DS game, players will "try out" for a position on the show's team of paranormal investigators, visiting haunted buildings throughout the country and searching for ghosts.

While no details have been released about the gameplay in the iPad or DS versions, the iPhone version will " utilize the device's camera for an augmented reality feature." We guess someone liked the idea of Ghostwire.

I don’t believe the Wii version will look quite this good, but it should match up rather nicely. It’s not like The Sims 3 is a powerhouse in the graphics department. That’s not what the series is about!
