Microsoft sent Halo: Reach beta codes to the last dozen still playing Halo 2 more than two weeks after multiplayer support was shut off for the original Xbox. Maybe it's a hint to finally disconnect and play something else? More »
As if attacked by some kind of predatory lizard, Flashbang's Off-Road Velociraptor Safari HD has been cut down before its time. The developer has announced that it has stopped work on the standalone sequel to the browser game Off-Road Velociraptor Safari. "We may still finish Raptor Safari at some point," Flashbang founder Matthew Wegner said, "although certainly not anytime soon (not this year, or even next year)," adding that it was "entirely likely" that the project will never ship.
Development was halted due to a combination of budget constraints and malaise. "Much of Flashbang's revenue stems from affiliate programs in the casual market," Wegner said. "Many of these programs are either shuttering completely or have drastically altered their terms in punitive ways, probably as a result of the casual market itself being hurt by Facebook [and] web games."
You’ll have to wait until Tuesday to preorder this baby, but I’m sure a ton of Zelda fans are going to jump right on it! Thanks to ibbsters for the heads up.
Graham Annable is doing the artwork for Telltale’s Puzzle Agent. He has a style that you’re either going to love or hate, and that goes for his humor as well. Personally, I really enjoy his strange sense of humor and timing! Check out some of his own works below.

If you've played the impossibly addictive gem-swapping RPG known as Puzzle Quest, you probably won't find yourself in uncharted waters when you check out the game's upcoming sequel, due out this June. Still, if you need a refresher course, or if you're an untainted newbie, you should check out the Puzzle Quest 2 Mage Trainer game on Facebook.
It serves as a surprisingly comprehensive demonstration of what the series' combat feels like, though it lacks some of Puzzle Quest's RPG trappings. Mercifully enough, it also lacks Puzzle Quest's hyper-repetitive music.

When you title your upcoming game Bulletstorm, we envision a kind of whirlwind of ammunition, a tornado leveling the landscape with gunpowder-coated vengeance. Turns out, People Can Fly's upcoming joint collaboration with EA is a little less grim -- the first screens actually show a vibrant world and some goofy, over-the-top violence. Nary a bullet in sight.
The screens also give us a glimpse at the proposed "kill with skill" system -- not to be confused with skills for kills -- which is evident in the extra 50 points gained by capping that poor schmuck's dome in the screen above.

Southend Interactive, developer of Lode Runner and R-Type on Xbox Live Arcade, recently announced plans to bring adorable puzzler Ilomilo to Microsoft's digital platform as an "exclusive." The game stars Ilo and Milo, two miniaturized Teletubby-looking creatures exploring "surrealistic and ever changing" environments, forever questing to be reunited.
The game's first trailer (seen above) has the pair traversing worlds that evoke Echochrome, only with, well, gobs more color (not to mention tons more charm). No release window is given for the title, but when it does eventually come out, friends can join up online to control one character each and take on the game's four worlds cooperatively. Apparently Ilomilo will also feature "famous cameos from other games" hidden within each level, though given Southend's past titles (based on other companies' IP), we can't possibly imagine what that could mean. Will we find an Arrowhead space ship somewhere in the game? The future is unknown, folks. For now, get your "DAWWWWWW"s ready and check out the smattering of Ilomilo media above and below.

Well, they're helpful if you speak Japanese, that is. The latest round of ads for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker out of Japan center on the escapades of Tom and Dick, two cartoon dudes who really, really like living everyday life as if they were Solid Snake. The duo demonstrate everything from the "heart massage" technique (reviving a downed teammate) tothe game's four player co-op functionality, with plenty of goofy animation to boot.
Andriasang noticed the ads over at the "Hamaru Gear Solid" website -- "Hamaru Gear Solid" is the marketing campaign for Peace Walker, based on Hirokazu Hamamura, CEO of Enterbrain (the company that owns and publishes Japanese gaming mag Famitsu), and a pun relating his name to the word "Hamaru" (meaning "to get in"). We've embedded all five for you after the break, should you choose to entertain their sheer madness.
