We’ve all seen the T-Virus vile from the Resident Evil film series, and now someone has made a drink out of that. I actually don’t drink alcohol, but I know plenty of you out there do. If you happen to be old enough to take part in alcoholic adventures, you might want to [...]

Reader AFXSteve sent in a picture of his license plate, which will automatically grab the eye of any Nintendo fan out there. While the car in the picture is long gone, the license plate is still in action. Let’s just hope that AFXSteve doesn’t reach F-Zero speeds while on the highway!

So here's the thing -- we were all set to tell you about how MechWarrior 4 has been released as free for all to play, but apparently some people found out before we could tell you and now, well, now the servers are down. Bigtime. As in, it might be a few minutes before they're back up. According to several tipsters, the 1.7GB file became available for download last night, but as of right now, MekTek (the game's host) is still suffering an outage.

That said ... hey! MechWarrior 4 has been released to the general public for precisely zero of your hard-earned C-Bills! If you managed to snag the file last night, we're hearing reports that MekTek has recovered the game's multiplayer servers. We'll let you know when we hear that the servers are back up.

When are we going to get a sequel to this game? I could see the Wii or DS proving the perfect platform for a true successor. I don’t even care if it’s a downloadable game. I really enjoyed the original, and I’d love to see a second round!

Dustin Browder isn't just the lead designer on Blizzard's StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty -- he's also in the game! Well, sort of. According to a Blizzard spokesperson, "There are a few examples of Blizzard employees making it into the game. The portrait of the Vulture pilot was based on the likeness of Jason Huck, a level designer. Brian Sousa, a senior 3D artist was the inspiration for the regular Goliath pilot. A running joke amongst the team is that Brian and Dustin look similar enough to be brothers - so the extension of that joke was to make the mercenary goliath pilot (Spartan Company) look like Dustin."

So there you have it. If you want your face in a multimillion dollar game, just get a job working on it. Easy enough, right? We talked to Dustin about StarCraft 2 last year, and this time he gives us more details about the development of this eagerly awaited title, and not just his vanity unit portrait. He discusses multiplayer plans, balancing, Blizzard's hardcore fans, and more, just beyond the break.

I have to go with the ‘BARF!’ quote, as we were just taking about it on the podcast! This is one of my favorite old-school sayings. It makes absolutely no sense, but that’s why I love it so much!

Operation Commander Cullen Gray has been through a lot. In his 36 years, he's seen military action the world over, been field-trained with various Special Operations units, worked with NATO and now, well now he's about to star in a popular war-based video game franchise. SOCOM 4 has the fictional Cullen Gray acting as an addled operation commander who "will pursue success at all costs."

The EU PlayStation blog has a rundown of Gray's entire dossier and a handful of new images (seen in the gallery below). And if you're wondering who it is that he resembles while you're browsing the images, it's obviously Lost's Matthew Fox. WE HAVE TO GO BACK, CULLEN!
