Who likes cheap Xbox Live Gold subscriptions? That's right, you do -- and Newegg has got you covered. Right now the tech seller has a full year of Xbox Live Gold up for only $34.99, a full $15 off the usual $50 price. That's almost three months of online gaming for free. You can't argue with that. Well, you could but you'd be a jerk, and there's no room for jerks on Xbox Live. Nope, none.

The recent eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull (pronounced as ... uh ... never mind) may have prevented Splash Damage from properly showing off its latest game at a Bethesda press event, but at least the internet remained functional. We've got some new screenshots of Brink in our gallery below -- just think of it as a collection of "I'm sorry I couldn't be there" cards.

Brink, which promises to embed player customization, first-person shootering and elements of parkour into a futuristic world, is due on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this fall.

Hello there, my name is Robert Daly and I am the studio head here at Pipeworks. It was mid last year when an email came in about Deadliest Warrior from our business development group. A couple minutes after that, a request had come in and I responded that we would be very interested in this project although a few weeks earlier I was cursing about the results of the show. I had been watching the Special Forces vs. Spetsnaz episode and thought, "Grrrr…stupid ballistic knife, what a useless piece of junk, give me a Gerber any day of the week." Having been in the Special Forces myself, it was annoying to see those results, although it was interesting to see the weapon selections since they were more in line with what is used now then what was used when these units would have faced off.

Goron into the gallery First 4 Figures has created a niche for itself as a destination for insane, rich Nintendo fans' extra money. The company has dipped pretty deep into the Zelda character catalog for its latest high-quality, high-cost figurine: Ocarina of Time's Goron King, Darunia.

Zelda adherents who really want to festoon their desks, shelves or dioramas with a 15-inch rock man (he's to scale with First 4 Figures' other Zelda toys) can order one of these for $154.99 in advance of its Q4 2010 release. The rest of us can just look at pictures of the thing in the gallery below.

RAGE is a gorgeous game. The Xbox 360 version of id's post-apocalyptic shooter, running at 60 frames per second, stunned at a recent Bethesda event, and removed any doubts as to whether the idTech 5 engine would hold up nearly three years after the game's unveiling.

RAGE's story starts in the near future: a giant asteroid is heading towards Earth, and rather than launch a team of wacky oil-rig drillers at the problem, the governments of the world convene and decide to put most of the population into suspended animation and bury them beneath the surface in giant Arks. Years later, you're revived as the sole survivor of your malfunctioning Ark. I watched a hands-off demonstration a bit further along into the game, but there will be a brief tutorial during your revival process.

SCEE loves bundles, so it comes as no surprise that Sony is preparing special ModNation Racers packages for both the PS3 and PSP in Europe. The PS3 package, spotted by TheSixthAxis, is rather no-frills, simply bundling the game and a 250GB Slim system for €315. The PSP package is slightly more interesting, including a PSP-3000, a copy of the game on UMD and a ModNation-branded case for €150.

Neither of these offerings have been announced (or are expected to be announced) for America. Expect a review of ModNation Racers tomorrow.
