I used to be all over this game. I knew it wasn’t great at the time, but I couldn’t help buy loving it. I’m getting the urge to go back and play now!

Hey, if you've made the important life-altering decision to sell your soul (and all your free time) over to World of Warcraft, you might as well go whole hog, you know? Best Buy's got a pretty scintillating deal for the 40-or-so people left on the planet who've yet to play Blizzard's super successful MMO: For a limited time, if you purchase the core game for $20, you'll get the Burning Crusade expansion (which retails for $30) at no additional charge. It's like getting twice as addicted at half the cost! What a steal!

I’m thinking that Game Developer magazine isn’t a publication that many people have a subscription to. That’s a shame, because it always seems chock-full of interesting developer interviews and features. We’ve already detailed the issue above, and I think this is the one that’ll push me into getting a subscription of my own. Article [...]

[Kevin Dooley] For this week's weekend swag giveaway, we've teamed up with 80sTees.com to offer six separate prizes to you, dearest reader. You regale us with your favorite Mother's Day memory in the comments section below, and you could be one of five winners to receive a code redeemable for $28 worth of merch -- and one lucky grand prize winner will get a code worth $68 and a copy of Final Fantasy XIII for the PlayStation 3 (we're betting your mom really digs chocobos -- she does, right?). And that's it! Now go make that special Mother's Day memory a reality. If not for her, do it for some prizes (you monster).
  • Leave a comment telling us your favorite Mother's Day memory.
  • You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec, because of restrictive sweepstakes laws in the province, unfortunately -- we assure you that we love the Quebecois!).
  • Limit 1 entry per person per day.
  • This entry period ends at 11:31AM ET on Monday, May 10.
  • At that time, we'll randomly select five winners to receive one code each redeemable for $28 worth of merchandise on 80sTees.com, and one winner to receive one code redeemable for $68 worth of merchandise on 80sTees.com and one copy of Final Fantasy XIII for PlayStation 3 (ARV: $59.99).

What is Joyswag? Since we don't keep the games and merchandise we receive for review or promotional purposes, it becomes "Joyswag," which is passed along to our readers. Please note that Joyswag may be in "used" condition.

Here’s something that’s truly random as far as topics goes, but the element itself appears far to often to just be a random occurrence. See that random pipe sticking out of Dr. Wily’s castle? It seems like a strange bit to be hanging off of a fortress, doesn’t it? What in the hell could [...]

Reader Brian-Z was checking out some details on Prince of Persia movie, and it looks like one of his local theaters may have gotten a bit of misinformation. I think I’d be a tad upset if the Prince of Persia movie turned out like that. I guess you could call it artistic license!

I knew this would come along, I just didn’t expect it so soon! People are already taking the silhouettes from Pokemon Black/White that were revealed on Pokemon Sunday, and creating their own ideas of what will fill in the blanks. Once again, here’s what was revealed… And here’s one artist’s interpretation of what the [...]

We’ll have to wait until the next issue of CoroCoro to find out what these Pokemon are, but for now, you can stare at the 3 silhouettes that Pokemon Sunday revealed. These will most likely be the 3 starter Pokemon for Black/White. I can’t wait to see what people start drawing in the [...]

According to a recent Joystiq Superpoll[TM], 30.3 percent of our readers think Final Fantasy IX is the series' best installment on the PS1, meaning 69.7 percent of you are so totally wrong. Those belonging to the first group will be pleased to hear the game recently received an extremely imminent release date for Japan -- according to a Tweet from Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto (as translated by Andriasang), the game will arrive on the Japanese PSN May 20.

We're really hoping the release date for other regions falls somewhere around that time -- especially after Hashimoto teased us with a video of the game's intro cinematic running on a PSP. Oh, Hashimoto! You heartbreaker!

Cryptic Studios and Atari are taking a two-fold approach to increasing the player base for their spacefaring MMO, Star Trek Online: First, potential subscribers can now download the game and play through the tutorial and first mission for free. Though they'll have an unlimited amount of time to tool around in their Federation vessel, players will have to purchase the full game to gain access to STO's other offerings.

In addition, former subscribers can play for free this weekend, and check out the new content that's been added as part of the game's first "Season" of updates. The "Welcome Back Weekend" ends Monday at 10 a.m. PST, so we suggest applicable parties should hop online ASAP, so as not to waste any potential Trekking time.

Yes, this hat really was part of the Game Boy Camera experience in Japan. As you can see, the camera was turned into something of a mascot for the Japanese manual. You could even cut out/fold your own hat to make your Game Boy Camera match that mascot.

It's like they tried to make a DSi-like sucessor to the PSP.

Except the DSi can still play DS games.

It's a shame they *crag*ed up so bad, I liked the Go's design.
