Walmart is taking another pass at the used games market after it appeared to bow out months ago. IndustryGamers reports that Walmart - the international mega conglomerate that likely sold you your hamper - informed the site in a statement that it's "currently working with Game Trade, a start-up services provider, in a lease agreement to test their Game Trade stores in five Walmart locations."

According to Walmart, the locations will offer "previously-owned" games, movies and entertainment hardware for "store credit or cash." Considering any monkey reading a spreadsheet can see the monumental amounts of cash GameStop reaps from used games, it's no wonder that even a mega-corp like Walmart wants a piece. We also hear Weyland-Yutani is interested in the used games market to fund some special projects.

Did you read our ModNation Racers review? If so, you know that the game's Career mode was a big hit with us. Unlike most other kart racing games, United Front Games has crafted an actual story (with cinematics and voice acting!) to flesh out the Pleasantville-esque world of ModNation Racers. This trailer from PlayStation Blog highlights some of the more memorable events from the game's Career mode.

Don't forget -- the PSP version has the same story and cinematics as the PS3 version, and it also features the same multi-tiered objective system!

We’ve already heard about one rating for Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, but now an OFLC rating has joined the gang. There’s no doubt in my mind that Square-Enix is going to give this game a worldwide release. Hopefully we’ll have our hands on it before the year is over. I just [...]

This week back in 1996, the Super Nintendo got one of its best games ever. Little did we know that this collaboration between Nintendo and Square would end up marking a 10-year drought of Square games on Nintendo platforms. At least they gave us a great title before the blood went bad!

EA Sports head Peter Moore has announced on his company blog that the label will be bringing FIFA Superstars to Facebook. The game is being created by social games developer Playfish, which EA purchased for a cool $300 million last fall. Earlier this year, the Wall Street Journal reported that the developer was working with a "well-known EA brand" for social networking platforms, and FIFA would certainly qualify as that project (despite The Sims being the best guess at the time).

Moore didn't offer up any concrete details about FIFA Superstars' gameplay in his post, but did comment that additional information would be coming "soon." Seeing as how the World Cup kicks off in just a month, on June 11, it's reasonable to assume we'll hear more from Moore on the topic before then.

This is the kind of low quality stuff that hits the App Store all the time. Somehow, the devs behind Flashlight have gotten enough funding to do a sequel, which they’re calling Discolight. Is anyone out there actually going to buy this?! Thanks to NintenDaan for the heads up!

Ever wondered what kind of a penalty bringing down the official website of one of the largest commercial technology manufacturers in the world for 11 days carries with it? If you're the heretofore unnamed 17-year-old from Latrobe, Penn., who managed said feat after being disqualified from a SOCOM tournament for cheating, you're facing 12 months probation, 250 hours of community service and owe $5,000 in damages to Sony.

That was the sentence recently handed down in the grand jury investigation into the teen's "cyber attack" on the official PlayStation site in 2008. Sony's legal representatives initially sought over $33,000 in damages from the young man, though the presiding judge ruled such a fee was "excessive" and reduced it by quite a bit.

Personally, we think 33 Gs would help get the lesson across better. When we were kids, we'd drop five dimes on stuff everyday, you know?
