We've known about the ability to age and "revert" objects and people in Singularity for a while. It acts as a way to destroy cover, rebuild broken bridges and age enemy soldiers into dust. We wondered before why reverting soldiers didn't turn them into babies, and now we know why: It actually turns them into an exploding pile of goo. Okay, so you can also revert enemies into a raging, feral beast but, come on, exploding pile of goo.

Singularity will be released next month.

Usually, if you want to be a dictator, you need to find some impoverished country and navigate the treacherous political ladder all the way to the top. But thanks to Steam's sale on Tropico 3, you can achieve that end relatively quickly and cheaply. And with far less blood on your hands.

The Steam Special Edition version, which includes two additional maps for Sandbox mode and additional costumes and accessories for your avatar, will be available for 75% off over the next week -- a mere $7.50. And with the "Absolute Power" expansion now available for download, the offer becomes even more enticing. Viva El Presidente!

Age of Conan and The Secret World publisher Funcom has announced a publishing deal with Sweden-based Stunlock Studios AB for the PC multiplayer arena game Bloodline Champions. Under the deal, Funcom will operate and provide support for the 10-player online combat game.

The deal has more significance than just bringing Bloodline Champions to audiences, though. While Stunlock will retain ownership of Bloodline, Funcom has also agreed to purchase a minority stake in Stunlock. It seems likely, then, that it will work with Funcom for future titles.

If you'd like to see what Funcom's money is going into, you can try to get into the current Bloodline Champions beta here. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until "late 2010."

Amazon has the DJ Hero "Renegade Edition" at a deep discount for the moment. The set, regularly priced at $200, has had its price scratched and dropped like a beat to something slightly more reasonable. The bundle is avaiable on all the major consoles at various discounts:
  • Wii -- $75.49
  • PS3 -- $77.88
  • Xbox 360 -- $101.45
The Wii Renegade Edition is even cheaper than the regular version! The sale has no specified end date, but don't dawdle if you're interested. Of course, if this discount doesn't sell the units, they'll probably be offered when DJ Hero 2 launches in gumball machines for a quarter -- like, a really giant gumball machines.

PSP owners have a lot of RPGs to look forward to. XSEED has announced a new partnership with Nihon Falcom that promises to bring six new games for the North American audience. Ys Seven, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys I & II Chronicles will all arrive on PSP, with Ys Seven the first title to be released under this new agreement. According to the press release, Ys Seven is the first iteration of the long-running JRPG franchise to be built "specifically for the PSP system," promising "virtually no load times" -- a problem that has plagued many of Falcom's previous PSP efforts.

In addition to Ys, XSEED will also be publishing the next three chapters of The Legend of Heroes saga (known as Sora no Kiseki in Japan). "I couldn't be more pleased to announce a partnership with a development studio as renown by gamers for consistently putting out quality titles as Falcom," Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games, said in the press release. "Their titles have always been some of the most requested titles so it is going to be our pleasure to oblige the North American fans by delivering an amazing line up of in-depth and gripping RPGs."
