#ds In 2004 we heard of the DS, a video game system with a stylus. Many of us imagined, justifiably, video games we could love that would somehow involve drawing. Six years later, how many DS games does that describe? More »

With BlazBlue: Continuum Shift set to fight its way to the Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer, a cuter spin-off called BlazBlue: Battle x Battle coming to DSiWare and a PSP port of the original fighter due soon, no platform is safe from Arc System Works' sprite-fueled fighter. Not even the PC, according to an ESRB listing.

The certificate makes no mention of when BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger will launch on PC, but it does remind us just how raunchy that game was: "includes still images of female characters -- in provocative poses -- wearing outfits that expose deep cleavage or barely cover their breasts." Remember when fighting games were just, you know, fighting games?

The game-crashing errors which have plagued the PS3 version of Dragon Age: Origins since firmware update 3.30 launched have finally been remedied. A patch, available today in the U.S. and Europe, fixes the frequent freezes, and also sorts out an issue which removed free DLC redeemed with promo codes from the in-game store.

It also adds Trophy support for the "Darkspawn Chronicles" DLC, which was added to the game yesterday. Apparently, when BioWare said the PS3 version of the expansion was "coming soon," it actually meant, "in like, a few hours."

Everyone should already be enlightened to the fact that The Empire Strikes Back turns 30 this coming Friday -- didn't you get that Facebook invite to our "Hoth The Chains Birthday Extravaganza?" (No? It's on its way.) If you're in the mood to celebrate the third decade of one of the greatest movies in existence, LucasArts has a pretty fun way for you to do so: by picking up one of the ten Avatar costumes and other miscellaneous Star Wars-themed accessories which will be available for purchase tomorrow on Xbox Live.

There's a selection of characters you'll be able to change your Avatar into, including an Imperial Snowtrooper, Boba Fett, Lando, Chewbacca, a Rebel Snowspeeder Pilot, Han Solo, Leia, Bossk, C-3PO, and an AT-AT Pilot. The additional props include a tauntaun pet, a ballcap with Yoda ears, and a lightsaber -- a green one this time around, for all those Qui-Gon Jinn cosplayers among us.

The immensely successful Square Enix game's coming stateside in two months. Get ready.

When Assassin's Creed 2 publisher Ubisoft released the game's two missing chapters as DLC, some of our commenters claimed that they were going to wait for a "Game of the Year" edition to be created at some point in the future. Well, we hope that you futureseers live in the UK, as a listing for "Assassin's Creed 2: Complete Edition" has popped up on two UK retailers sites, brandishing new box art and packing every piece of content available for the game into the box.

CVG spotted it first at Play.com, though the new edition is also found on ShopTo.net, as well as on Amazon's UK site. For £27.99 ($41.35), buyers pick up the entirety of AC2, the Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities DLC packs, and "three Templar secret locations (Palazzo Medici, Santa Maria del Frari, and Arsenal Shipyard)" previously available only in a limited edition release. It doesn't appear that the re-release will be arriving in other parts of the world just yet, but we've reached out to Ubi all the same for clarification. And if the retailer listings are correct, we'll see the AC2 "Complete Edition" land on retailer shelves on June 4.

Hi Everyone,

Here’s this week’s Digital Comics update. As you’ll notice, Icon delivered two solid comics to follow-up Kick Ass and Powers this week with the release of Criminal and Incognito.

Criminal explores a seedy dark world following an array of intriguing characters . It has it all: crooked cops, dames, pickpockets, con men, a smoke-filled bar and all the double-crossing you could want. Reminiscent of a Sin City backdrop, this crime-fiction is an incredible read.

Incognito reunites the acclaimed, Eisner-winning Criminal creative team of Brubaker and superstar artist Sean Phillips. In the comic, former villain Zack Overkill deals with being in the Witness Protection Program after giving testimony against The Black Death. It’s a great read, and as IGN put it “this twisted mash up of noir and super-heroics will leave your jaw on the floor!”

Check below for the full list of new arrivals for the week. We are still waiting for Locke & Key, but have heard this title will have something special, so it should be worth the wait. That’s all — for more info or to view our full catalog and pricing, head to playstationcomics.com.
