Sega just dropped two items of information about Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, one slightly disappointing and one ... interesting? First for the kind of bad news: it's been delayed from its original "summer" release to "late 2010."

"The additional time will allow the Development Team to focus on ensuring overall high-quality throughout the game by continuing to tune, balance, and maintain the kind of polish that an important title like this demands," the press release reads, "and ultimately providing fans with an unrivalled classic Sonic feel."

The other news: as many suspected, the downloadable game will be released not only on PSN, XBLA and WiiWare, but for the iPhone / iPod Touch as well. You'll have the choice of portability or buttons!

Paramount has announced a new Top Gun game in development at doublesix, ready to assault PSN, Mac and Windows PC this summer. Described as "a free-flying air combat shooter," the press release promises "large-scale dogfight battles" as players jump into pilot Maverick's F-14, following his journey from Top Gun Academy to the Indian Ocean. Top Gun won't be a strictly solo affair, either -- five multiplayer modes, supporting up to 16 players online, will also be included.

Screenwriter Jack Epps, Jr. will return to the Top Gun world, expanding on the film's events through the game. "With Jack Epps, Jr. on board, we're excited to deliver a new Top Gun arcade experience that holds true to the popular film," said John Kavanagh, VP of games at Paramount. Sounds fine by us, but we swear, Mr. Epps, if you don't fit the volleyball scene into the game somewhere, we're probably going to write you a tersely-worded letter explaining our disappointment.

The debut trailer for LittleBigPlanet 2 created more questions than it answered, most of them relating to the sequel's compatibility with DLC for the first game, and how the new features promised in said trailer would function. A handful of these queries have been put to rest by a FAQ post published on the PlayStation.Blog.

For instance, the post confirms that all objects, costumes and decorations collected in the original game should carry over, except for objects using a graphical glitch or exploit. More importantly, QI host and wildlife enthusiast Stephen Fry will reprise his role as the game's omniscient narrator. However, the FAQ also references "custom Voice Acting," a feature with a capacity for hilarity that we've yet to be able to comprehend. For more answers to your burning questions, check out the full LittleBigFAQ.

According to MMGN.com, Microsoft and Foxtel have signed an agreement to bring streaming television to Xbox Live in Australia. The service will be available in current Foxtel service areas and will provide access to "at least 30 live channels and a wide suite of Video on Demand services." The service requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription, and according to Foxtel chief executive and managing director Kim Williams, it will be offered in "various packages and prices and under flexible agreements."

The Foxtel agreement marks the latest in a recent string of similar arrangements around the world. Last year, Microsoft struck deals with Canal+ in France and Sky in the UK to offer streaming television and video on demand services. North American users have also had the ability to stream Netflix movies since 2008.
