Not too long ago, we posted up an ESRB rating for ‘Enjoy your Massage!’, a WiiWare title coming down the pipeline. While the game description was weird enough on its own, the origins of the title point to some rather seedy behind-the-scenes details. The publisher involved is Microforum Ltd., and they’ve worked on some massage [...]

Think the peripheral-equipped EA Sports Active provides nothing more than a wussy, girly-man workout? You might be right, but at least it's a wussy, girly-man doctor-approved workout. So says a new study conducted by a researcher from the University of Wisconsin, who found that EA's exer-game meets the requirements set up by the American College of Sports Medicine for "a healthy, active lifestyle."

The researcher had 16 different adults use the game as directed, and had them performing with a high heart rate and oxygen consumption, burning a minimum of 200 calories a session, five days a week. According to the ACSM, that's enough to "maintain proper health."

Unfortunately, the game doesn't actually stop you from playing Red Dead Redemption and connect the monitors up to you, so you'll have to do that part yourself. And while 200 calories can be significant (depending on your diet), you can burn just about that much by walking for an hour. Then again, this "walking" game doesn't have any DLC coming, does it? Take that, ambulation!

A portion of a CheatCC review… Blue Dragon reminds me of two other DS titles in particular: Phantasy Star 0 and Ragnarok DS. Blue Dragon is more fun and engaging than Ragnarok (how could it not be?), but in every area where Blue Dragon trips and makes a mess of things, PS0 truly shines. If given [...]

Gold's Gym Dance Workout is set to continue Ubisoft's cost-effective, potential hit-making formula this August. For those just joining us, Ubi's Just Dance has sambaed silly amounts of cash into the publisher's coffers. And because you can't stop the beat, the company is premiering Dance on Broadway this June.

As for Gold's Gym Dance Workout, it'll feature Latin (carpe diem!) style and "boxing-inspired" dance routines. There's also a co-op mode, the option to make customizable circuit programs and the game supports the Wii Balance Board. Also, if you get sick of sweating all over your own living room, the "game" also comes with a one-week trial membership to an actual Gold's Gym.

We're not sure who clued Turbine into this particular fact, but our two favorite things on this earth are, in order: boats which use primitive yet impossible technology to travel through the skies, and owning property. The fifth major update to Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited will manage to incorporate both of these elements into the free-to-play MMO when it launches June 28.

Not only will the update give your guild access to soaring, winged home bases, it will also add the "Carnival of Shadow" scenario to the game, which sounds like the worst carnival ever. Check out the game's blog for more information on this new adventure, or check out the gallery below to catch a few glimpses of DDO's pretty new airships.

Click image for even more rarely seen logos
To celebrate 25 years of making games, Rare has touched up its old logo. Above, you can see the updated version, which will be featured on Rare's site when it relaunches "soon."

"Both Rare and the games industry have seen massive changes over the past 25 years, and right now it feels as if both we and the industry are continuing to evolve at an ever-increasing pace," offered studio head Mark Betteridge. "With this landmark anniversary coming up, and knowing that we have a really exciting future ahead, we felt now was the time to have a new image more in keeping with an innovative and creative entertainment company, which aspires to be around for at least the next 25 years!"

Well, here's to the first 25 years! We're grateful to have shared quite a number of rare moments over the years; from our younger days playing R.C. Pro Am on the NES; to Rare's contributions on the N64 -- you have no idea how many nights we spent playing GoldenEye and Perfect Dark; to the Microsoft acquisition; to the studio's reinvention of itself -- who ever thought a pseudo-cannibalism sim would be a hit? Good times and bad, we appreciate all of the hard work. Congratulations to Rare!
