The Metal Blade from Mega Man 2 was the ultimate weapon. Nothing could stand in your way with that sucker. Sure, it may be considered a game-breaker today, but it was awesome back then!

Mobile publisher Recom is reviving Chaos Breaker, an arcade fighting game published by Taito in 2004, as a downloadable PS3 game. Dark Awake: The King Has No Name, as this version will be called, is a fantasy-themed 2D fighter starring knights, ogres, dwarves, and other such Golden Axe-alikes.

In addition to an arcade mode, Dark Awake features online play, along with leaderboards, voice chat, and Trophies. It'll be released in Japan this summer for ¥2,000 ($21.80). No plans have been announced for a release outside of Japan, but we're always up for a new fighting game, especially with online play. Check out a (blurry) video of the arcade version after the break.

The Shoot is a title exclusive to PlayStation Move, an arcade shooter where you are an action hero and the PlayStation Move motion controller is your gun. Listen to the director and shoot your way through five different spoofs of classic B-Movie themes: the Wild West, undersea monsters, haunted house, mobsters and a robot invasion. Shoot through parts of the highly destructible set to see what they’re really made of.

You can use the PlayStation Move to activate special powers. Shoot into the ground to generate a shockwave and destroy all your enemies in one blast, spin on the spot to slow time with Showtime, and fire in the air to activate your all-powerful rampage gun. No more need for buttons or foot pedals — just duck behind cover and dodge projectiles, using the PlayStation Move. You can even co-star with a friend in your own action movies!

Oh, and don’t forget about Challenges. We’ve taken our movie themes and applied them to motion games like underwater baseball and haunted house bowling, and a few more surprises…

Putting The Shoot together has been a brilliant experience for me and the team at Cohort Studios. The PlayStation Move has been a joy to work with from day one, giving us amazing accuracy and opening new opportunities to take the shooter genre forward in the game’s design. Putting the PlayStation Move and the PlayStation 3 together, we’ve created a fast-paced, fun-filled action title that wouldn’t be possible with traditional controls or even a lightgun. Check out the video to get a taste of what The Shoot has in store for you.

We really hope you enjoy the game when it comes out around the launch of the PlayStation Move. Looking forward to seeing all your high scores!

There's a substantial number of games we've been hoping to see unveiled at E3 later this month, but our desire for the announcement of one game in particular easily overshadows all others: Half-Life 2: Episode 3. We've tempered our expectations for such an announcement after being disappointed at trade shows for like, a decade -- but if the teaser image posted after the jump is legit, our wait might just be coming to an end in a little over a week.

The image features the Half-Life Lambda symbol, the word "Freeman," a barely visible watermark of what appears to be G-Man's face, and a mention of June 14 -- the original date for the (rather humorously) canceled Portal 2 event. We're still worried about playing the Charlie Brown to Valve's Lucy -- Rock, Paper, Shotgun claims the image is a fake, but doesn't provide the source for that information. We've contacted Valve about the teaser's authenticity, though we're finding it awfully hard to type out an email when all of our fingers are crossed.

Update: Reader Jake Handy pinged Valve's Gabe Newell about this, and Newell's response couldn't have been clearer -- or more terse: "Fake."
