Coming from Nintendo Power’s 9 out of 10 review… “These four titles were some of the GBA’s finest, so having them all in one package is a tremendous deal. Even though the oldest game here is eight years old, they all hold up extremely well today,” writes reviewer Phil T., “…the pixel-based artwork is gorgeous, and [...]

"I did it with 312 girls in two months."

That unsavory proclamation is the first in a long series of deep, dark confessions made in the debut trailer, currently hosted on MTV, for the console versions of The Sims 3. Watch as ordinary people -- by which, of course, we mean paid, professional actors -- air out their dirty, in-game laundry.

We find the whole ordeal more than a little surprising. We've always conducted ourselves in the world of The Sims just as we do in real life -- that is to say, as fine, upstanding citizens. Not as murderers, thieves and unashamed hussies.

The poor guys over at Aksys Games didn’t have a very good Monday. The very same day they release a new title on DSiWare, the company’s official website ended up getting hacked. Thankfully, all is back to normal now. Hopefully Aksys Games has blocked future attacks on their site.

A portion of a Bitmob review… Taste: Bad graphics, no sound, underwhelming gameplay…and they taste like my kitchen floor. The only flavor I enjoyed was the orange-flavored Mario and DK, though I have to admit that I thought they were lemon-flavored until I checked the box. Whatever the flavor, it’s safe to say that Birdo/Birdetta is [...]

Extremely Twitter-happy Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto tweeted a picture of himself with Konami superstar Hideo Kojima and Metal Gear Solid art director Yoji Shinkawa today, cryptically noting (according to Andriasang's translation) that "A new promotion with Hideo Kojima is set. Details will be shared at a later date."

Kojima and Square Enix have collaborated on a set of Peace Walker figurines under the company's Play Arts Kai line; in addition, Front Mission content is one of the many tie-ins included in Peace Walker. It's likely the next collaboration will be something similar. The picture was taken somewhere that Front Mission Evolved was being shown -- a game that Andriasang notes is being produced by Hashimoto -- so that could be a hint that a Metal Gear series cameo might occur in the upcoming mech game. Or it could be more photographs of the developers, as a little gift for the fans.

Lara Croft is back, and this time she’s joined by a fierce Mayan warrior named Totec. The Guardian of Light is a new, multiplayer co-op title coming to the PlayStation Network. Qore Host Veronica Belmont visited developer Crystal Dynamics to bring you up-to-date on Lara’s action-packed, puzzle-solving adventure…a departure from the Tomb Raider series.

It’s hard to believe 16 years ago Green Day achieved mainstream success with the release of Dookie, and today they’ve got a Broadway musical and their own version of Rock Band. Qore caught up with Billie Joe, Tre, and Mike in advance of the release of Harmonix’s Green Day Rock Band, which features — for the first time — new motion-capture technology of the power punk trio to bring their live stage performances to life.

Kyoto-based Q-Games is famous for its PixelJunk series of PSN exclusives, which includes PixelJunk Racers, PixelJunk Monsters, PixelJunk Eden, and PixelJunk Shooter. Veronica previews the upcoming PixelJunk Shooter 2 and PixelJunk Racers: 2nd Lap, and talks with company president Dylan Cuthbert about their special brand of 2D creative magic.

With Greek mythology popping up everywhere in pop culture, Audrey Cleo visits Game Republic in Japan for a preview of Clash of the Titans. This is the studio behind the PS3 games Folklore and Genji: Days of the Blade, and they’re looking to recreate the look and feel of the film while adding all-new creatures and environments.

All subscribers can download the demoscene title “detuned” for free, and all purchasers will have access to a Clash of the Titans PS3 theme. As usual, Audrey has a rundown of the latest Blu-ray releases, and this month we spotlight our first “Geek Hero”, Gary Whitta—a PC magazine editor turned Hollywood screenwriter. Green Day fans can test their knowledge in the “Name That Tune” mini-game, and don’t forget to try the Lara Croft-themed memory match puzzles to unlock Veronica’s outtake videos.

Look for Episode 25 tomorrow on the PlayStation Store update.

Speaking to IndustryGamers, BioWare head honchos Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka shared some thoughts on the current state of motion controls and the potential of Move and Project Natal. According to Zeschuk, BioWare has been looking for ways that the technologies could enhance a role-playing experience. He mentioned using motions to "enhance your feeling that you're actually acting in the game." For a game like Mass Effect, Zeschuk imagined the ability to affect a conversation with a gesture, saying "you could actually pull your finger and pretend you're shooting the guy for the renegade action."

Zeschuk wants to see motion controls "evolve beyond the party game." He added that "it's going to be a challenge" for developers to move past the party game mentality. "You look at the Wii, and no one's ever gotten past that, that initial stage," said Zeschuk (someone send that man a copy of Shattered Memories). Thankfully, both Natal and Move are far too sophisticated for simple bowling games. Oh, wait.

For Muzyka's part, he believes motion controllers can make games more accessible, allowing developers to connect on a deeper level with players. "The challenge is finding ways to remove those barriers that doesn't create new barriers like having your arms get tired from waving the controller around, things like that," said Muzyka, adding, "If you can do that, I think there's a real opportunity."

If you love the Bomberman characters, but you hate the Bomberman gameplay, you might be interested in the latest PS1 game rated by the ESRB for re-release on PSN. Bomberman Fantasy Race takes the familiar helmeted characters out of their explosive comfort zone and into a racing game in which they ride cartoon animals.

We presume it'll sell for the standard "PSOne Classic" price of $6, which means it's cheap enough to be worth a purchase if you want a non-standard kart racer -- or if you want to be a pedant and use it to correct people who tell you that "all Bomberman games are the same."
