Though the thematically distinct universes of LittleBigPlanet and Heavy Rain don't have much business crossing over into one another, we're in full support of the former's upcoming batch of DLC based on the latter. The costume pack, which will hit the US PlayStation Store later today, costs $1.99, and includes the outfits of Heavy Rain protagonists Ethan, Madison, Jayden, and Shelby. Also included is an origami hat, stained with the crimson hue of spilled ... jam. (We're guessing Media Molecule's stance on blood hasn't changed.)
We can't wait to see the LittleBigHeavyRain levels these costumes inspire. "In order to save your jelly beans, you'll have to cut off your own shoelaces. You have three minutes."

As hinted at by a Sony survey distributed last month (and then a rash of recent unintentional Trophy unlocks), the world of MAG will soon expand rather drastically with the June 22 release of the Interdiction DLC pack. The bundle, which will cost $9.99, includes the titular Interdiction gametype, where two factions storm one of three brand new, completely neutral maps, vying to control three command posts. Each post your team holds adds to your score while depleting your enemy's, which could lead to some lengthy tug-of-war encounters.
In addition to the new gametype and maps, the pack includes a "Heavy Improved" armor set for each faction, which promises to turn an ordinary soldier into a "walking tank." (Hardly sounds fair, does it?) Players will also be able to unlock a selection of new medals and Trophies -- if they haven't done so already. Click past the jump to see the full list of available accolades.

Aside from having about the best intro splash screen ever, Snoopy Flying Ace also has quite the collection of nifty Avatar gear. Oh, and we guess it's a good game and stuff.
But back to the Avatar gear! You'll notice several different props, including your very own virtual Snoopy, complete with his signature red house. You can also snag some miniature dogfighting planes, as well as a cute little Woodstock to play with.

Seven45's Power Gig: Rise of the Sixstring, the guitar game controlled by an actual electric guitar, has been slated for an October launch, where it will compete against other fall 2010 music games like Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and DJ Hero 2 (so far).
The novelty of the guitar controller -- which has, like, real strings and everything -- is definitely one advantage Power Gig has over its peers. Seven45 revealed another today: agreements with Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band, and ... Kid Rock to provide songs for the game.
"We think Power Gig is a much needed and much welcomed game because, unlike any others before it, it puts a real guitar into the hands of aspiring musicians, and we hope it inspires our fans and others to start playing even when they're not playing the game," the Dave Matthews Band is quoted as saying. The whole band? In unison?

If you can't wait for the updated (and mandatory) version of White Knight Chronicles that's slated to come packaged with the RPG's upcoming sequel, you might want to act on today's Amazon Gold Box deal. Instead of ponying up $60 for Level 5's giant soldier-centric onus, the online retailer is offering it for $37, which ... well, which seems like an awfully arbitrary price point, doesn't it? Why not $35, or $40? Something round and pleasant, you know?
As with all Gold Box deals, this one has a fairly short half-life, and will be taken down at 2 a.m. EDT, or whenever it sells out -- whichever comes first. Again, considering the game will be bundled with White Knight Chronicles 2, we're betting on the former.
