The live-action trailer for Dead Nation for which Sony put out a casting call last month has finally surfaced, showing off some of the real-life human drama associated with a fictional Zombocalypse. Watch as the trailer explores the deep, interpersonal relationships between the game's cast of multifaceted, intriguing characters, such as "Trucker Guy" and "Cheerleader" and "Mustachioed Police Officer." Then watch as they all get eaten. What a twist!

It's also got a few gameplay clips, which do a good job of displaying the Smash TV-esque carnage you'll be able to reap. Sadly, we still haven't seen the title-appropriate level where you're tasked with mowing down wave after wave of Grateful Dead fans, but we've still got time for a few more trailers before Dead Nation drops later this year.

We speculated that the live-action Alan Wake teaser that surfaced last week was promoting a new commercial or web short. It turned out to be a slick music video for "WAR," a song by Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall -- and one of the licensed tracks to feature in Remedy's atmospheric action game. The video features Alan Wake as portrayed by actor Ilkka Villi, who's basically the Milli Vanilli companion to voice actor Matthew Porretta.

Head past the break to see Wake freak out to musical accompaniment, ponder his mysterious manuscript pages ... and wonder why the world's worst cameraman is stalking him and his wife through a field.

IGN obtained a copy of the lawsuit [PDF link] wherein Active Network claims EA is infringing on its "Active" trademarks, which -- as you must already know -- are "famous, arbitrary, and highly distinctive, and are recognized by the public," according to the suit. You are familiar with the famous Active Network, aren't you?

EA declined to comment on the adjective-packed lawsuit.

4683464428_b1e50093eb.jpg

Here’s how the app works…
The app generates questions about how you would feel or what would happen if your Facebook friends suddenly gained the abilities of some of your favorite comic book characters, from Wolverine and Captain America, to Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse.

The app randomly selects one of your Facebook friends and then generates a question based on a comic character’s ability. The questions will fuel some witty responses, which you can post to their walls… or you can simply move to the next question. You will have the option to change your friend and generate your own customized question, if you wish.

Gain Coins!
Every time you answer a question you are rewarded with a coin, which can be used to unlock additional features within the app.

Spending those coins…

After gaining ten coins, the app will enable you to unlock a screen which displays every answer about you that your friends have completed. After gaining five coins, you will be able to send a superpower gift to a friend.

Visit www.superpowerfriends.com and start playing now!

Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded isn't the only new announcement in Square Enix's E3 lineup. In addition, the company revealed two games called "The Tales of Bearsworth Manor" for WiiWare, which are North American versions of the Kumanage games released in Japan this week.

The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Chaotic Conflicts tasks players with throwing paper bears "into the pages of an unusual picture book" to affect "frantic battles," while throwing paper bears in The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Puzzling Pages is the method through which players "solve innovative puzzles." Completing both games apparently reveals "an even deeper mystery."

Both games will be available in North America on June 21.

PlayStation Fans and pinball lovers! Pinball Heroes Bundle 2 for PSP recently hit the PSN Store, and it’s packed with tables based on ModNation Racers, Fat Princess, MotorStorm and WipEout HD Fury.

Today, we’re showing you these tables in action for the first time!

ModNation Racers
Just like in ModNation Racers, this pinball table allows you to alter the look of your Kart, Mod and Track Props. Plus, there are opponents to knock past, and six different ramp entrances to hit. Each ramp entrance corresponds to a move that is available in ModNation Racers on the PSP or PS3. Combo-ing those moves will raise your Boost meter and increase your score!

Fat Princess
The Fat Princess pinball table channels the spirit of competitive princess capturing. Knock down the walls of the castle to rescue the damsel, feed your captive princess, and build bridges and catapults and upgrade hat machines using the wood and ore that you collect. Just be quick and accurate, because the enemy advances with each missed shot!

WipEout HD Fury
WipEout HD Fury plays like an exciting race in the grand WipEout tradition! There are multiple challenging courses, boosters to hit, and powerups to collect. Just be careful not to fall off of one of the ramps, or you will crash and lose a position! Win a race in first place to earn the most points.

MotorStorm
The MotorStorm table features branching ramps which have eight different variations, each one representing one of the courses in MotorStorm. This pinball table also features 3 different multipliers from Tires, Vehicles and Boost. Just be careful not to boost too much and lose your multiplier in an explosion…

The Pinball Heroes Team and myself would really like to give our fans a mighty big “thank you” for all of your support and interest. As part of our thanks and appreciation, please be on the lookout for two new FREE Pinball Heroes themes available beginning June 8th. We will be bringing you two more on June 22nd.

Additionally, to any fans who are experiencing any issues with your in-game Trophy shelf please do the following to patch the game so that you chase down and acquire each of the tables’ awards. Highlight the Pinball Heroes game in your PSP’s XMB. Then, press the Triangle button to bring up the “Options.” Select “Update” from the “Options” Menu. At this point, your PSP should connect to the network and find the patch. Finally, just download and install it. We have also resolved the issues with the Online Leaderboards. Note: anyone who purchases the game AFTER the June 8th, 2010 PSN Store Update does not need to patch.

Well, that’s it folks. We hope that you are all enjoying the new tables!
