The final (and some would argue best) installment of the Final Fantasy franchise on the original PlayStation will, at long last, make it to the North American PlayStation Store next week. Final Fantasy IX will mimic the $10 price point of the other two PS1 Fantasies currently available on PSN and will be added to the storefront with the update next Tuesday, June 15.

If you skipped out on the ninth entry in the long-lasting series -- which isn't too unlikely, considering its sales numbers clocked in well below those of FFVII and FFVIII -- the PSN re-release is your chance to find what all the fuss is about. We wish we'd have some time to reinvest into IX next week ourselves, but, well, we might be kind of busy.

Filed under: PC Civilization V will charge players to create an empire that will stand the test of time when it becomes available in North America and internationally on September 21 and 24, respectively. After a successful spin on consoles with Civilization Revolution, Sid Meier's epic franchise returns to its PC roots and tweaks the core gameplay -- casting a hex on the game board.

Sid Meier's Civilization V will be shown next week at E3 2010 and we'll be sure to kick the tires ... er, the stone wheels -- depends on what era in the game we get to see.

What better combination could there be than the sexy ladies of Playboy magazine and rotting, unnaturally ambulatory corpses? Capcom and Playboy have reached an agreement wherein Playboy magazines and imagery will be seen throughout the world of Dead Rising 2, in the form of magazines, as well as billboards and other advertisements. Judging by the costume in one of the new screens, Fortune City is host to a Playboy Club as well.

Playboy is just one of the publications used for the game's new "magazine system," which, like Dead Rising's book system, will offer enhancements to the player's stats. Playboy imbues Chuck Greene with a "unique and special upgrade" -- good that it has an actual gameplay purpose, because on its own, stopping to check out some babes while on the run from thousands of undead monsters is highly questionable, both in terms of tactics and just plain sanity.

Tehra Dark Warrior is an RPG hack-and-slash game set in the time of knights and dragons. As you navigate through each level, you encounter numerous enemies or varying size and strength. Using the power of your sword, you battle through while grabbing and slashing everything in your path.

The game is set in the land of Sistar, a city laid to waste due to endless war between the humans and a tribe of vicious mythical demons called the Urka’h. As Tehra, the main player in the game, you move through realistic 3D environments aiming to grow stronger and gain more skill to ultimately defeat stronger enemies. Throughout the game you’ll meet a number of creatures, including the likes of Orcs, the undead, Mages, enormous Trolls and some of which will be unknown to man. Tehra was created as a hybrid human-devil to mediate the conflict and maintain peace. With the help of demon blood, Tehra can switch from human to demon, wherein her attacks are stronger and deadlier but require more energy.

Check out Tehra Dark Warrior when it hits the PSN Store (soon!) for $4.99.

The combined Tecmo/Koei entity has revealed a selection of four games it will have on display at next week's E3. The shooter Quantum Theory and the action RPG Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll, both delayed earlier this year, will be present at the show.

In addition, Tecmo Koei has announced that it's localizing its punchy Dynasty Warriors game, Fist of the North Star, as Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage, with a planned fall 2010 release on PS3 and Xbox 360. Rounding out the (known) lineup is Warriors: Legends of Troy, which is also kind of like Dynasty Warriors, but focused on ancient Greek history instead of pseudo-historical China or Japan.

Check out new Fist of the North Star screens in our gallery below, and follow the break for galleries of the other three.
