Ghost Trick is being promoted by Japan's "Juicer Bar" franchise with a themed juice drink, made of blackcurrant, blueberries, and a "mystery flavor." In keeping with the game, we're guessing it's arsenic -- you have to go back in time and possess the juice machine to stop your drink from being made.

Bethesda's suite of RPGs have been discounted on Steam -- specifically, its Game of the Year offerings. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind gets the most drastic cut at 75% off, down to $5, while Fallout 3 has been discounted by 50% to $25. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion straddles the middle with a discount of 66%, down to $8.50.

As far as sheer hours-to-dollars ratio, you're probably looking at something like eleventy kajillion.

[Thanks, Brian]

In more ways than one, being the "new guy" in your local mafia chapter is similar to your first day at high school. Check out the following trailer for Mafia 2, and witness the plight of Vito Scaletta, relative newcomer to the Empire Bay crime syndicate.

Watch the bizarre hazing rituals his new family subjects him to, and catch a glimpse of the sweet life that awaits players who ascend the ranks of the mafioso. But those who betray their brothers in crime could end up getting pantsed during gym class. Or rather, shot to death in a discreet warehouse.

Okay, so it's not exactly like high school.

We hope you're enjoying the new site. It took a lot of work and it's only the beginning of Futurestiq.

Now, back to the immediate business: E3 2010. The annual megashow returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center next week and would you kindly join us as we forsake sleep to deliver the best coverage possible. You can also follow the Joystiq staff's Twitter accounts (listed after the break) for all the super-random extra coverage.

Oh, if you haven't done it yet, feel free to download and print the E3 Bingo cards. Play our massively multiplayer analog game from your home or office -- but not while driving, please.

Okay now, after the break we've got a rave going on and everyone should feel free to let everybody else know what they're playing this weekend.

There’s absolutely no other information from this GameStop listing, other than what you see above. With E3 just around the corner, I’m willing to bet that we’ll learn more about this title then. We keep hearing about Pac-Man projects in the works, and it looks like this is one of them! Thanks [...]

As tends to happen around this time of year, another countdown site has popped up, this one on the Japanese PlayStation site. It's counting down to the start of a beta test for ... something, with the countdown against a black background, with some thunder noises for ambiance.

Well, not just for ambience. The thunder accompanies a faint lightning effect, which illuminates a faint Patapon-esque scene in the background (above). But why would a new Patapon game need a beta test? What if it featured (gasp) online multiplayer? You'd be all pata pata and your friend would be like pon pon and it would be awesome. We'll find out in around five days!

Now that you've read our review for Hideo Kojima's latest, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, it's time we knocked the cardboard box off the rest of the industry's thoughts. What did the critics have to say? CQC the reviews below to find out:
  • IGN (95/100): "This game is insanely deep...a masterpiece. Not only is it in the running for the title of greatest game ever on the PSP, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the greatest games in the entire Metal Gear franchise."
  • 1UP (91/100): "It's at once true to its heritage yet willing to spin the Metal Gear format in a new and entertaining direction. And while the fallout from these changes does occasionally undermine the action, those small moments of frustration and compromise are forgivable in the context of all that Peace Walker does well."
  • GameTrailers (91/100): "While we miss the crazy bad guys and refined controls, Peace Walker definitely lives up to the Metal Gear name. Base management adds a deeper sense of growth to the experience and there's plenty to come back to after you finish the story."
  • Eurogamer (80/100): "Mother Base, co-op and Extra Ops are great additions to the Metal Gear formula and luxuriously comfortable fits for handheld play. The subdued campaign is not Kojima at his histrionic and surprising best, but it arguably offers the tightest stealth gameplay since Snake Eater or even the first Metal Gear Solid."

A press release from Mad Catz has revealed pricing on several of the new Rock Band 3 peripherals -- and also revealed an interesting gameplay quirk about the highest-profile new instrument, the keyboard. The keyboard ($79.99 by itself, $129.99 with a copy of the game) can be used not just to play piano or keyboard tracks, but can also be used to play lead guitar or bass. That adds even more variation to Rock Band 3!

The Fender Mustang Pro-Guitar Controller (the one with all the buttons, not the real electric guitar) will retail for $149.99, which means that the Squier Stratocaster is likely to be ... pretty expensive. The Pro Cymbals Expansion Kit, which adds three newly-designed cymbals to the existing drum kit, will be $39.99, as will the MIDI Pro-Adapter for connecting any MIDI keyboard or drum set to your game console. In addition, Mad Catz will announce revised versions of the existing Rock Band instruments soon. Essentially, not only will Rock Band 3 have more options than ever, it'll also have more ways for you to spend a lot of money.

Watch the first steps of the adventure for yourself.
