Microsoft surprised all of us today -- not by announcing a redesigned Xbox 360 system -- but by giving them away to everyone attending their E3 press conference. While we promise to give these new systems away to you soon, we wanted to give you a closer look at the new hardware (shipping to retailers today!).
Epic Games' Cliff Blezsinski took the stage at the EA keynote to show off People Can Fly's Bulletstorm. Thankfully, he had more than a new trailer with which to scare your dick off (that's an actual phrase in the game, by the way) and confirmed a launch date of February 22, 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 EA Partners title.

EA is hopping onto the 3D bandwagon with Crytek's upcoming first-person shooter, Crysis 2. The sci-fi shoot 'em up will be playable in stereoscopic 3D on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC when the game ships later this year. More »
EA has claimed that Crytek's Crysis 2 will be the first "true 3D" game for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. This is likely EA's marquee 3D title promised at the last Electronic Arts investor call. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli stated that the "3D revolution" is part of the team's continued "strive to raise the technology bar ... The 3D experience represents a quantum leap in interactive entertainment. With all of the same story and action seen in the 2D version of the game, the 3D version adds another dimension of intensity and immersion to the action."

EA's Peter Moore detailed some changes coming in the latest iteration of its football series, Madden NFL 11. Now your friends can get off the couch and get into the game through 3-vs-3 support for online play. Aside from the new online functionality, Peter Moore also promised game length would be cut in half for online games.
Then there's Game Flow, a system that not only suggests plays but will also help make play-calling simpler. But have no fear, diehard fans: Game Flow is simply an option for a more guided experience. At any time, players can choose to go with the full playbook should they not wish to take advantage of the game's assistance.
Planning on buying a Kinect this November? If you've got one of those ... not-so-Slim Xbox 360s, then you're gonna need some extra power outlets, as Microsoft tells us that older Xbox consoles will need a separate power supply for the motion controller add-on. While new, less opulent 360s will be able to support the Kinect without any external wattage, older consoles will require a power outlet for the device to work.

EA is taking its recent hit shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on a tour of Vietnam, launching an expansion named—get this—Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam this winter, just announced at its E3 press conference. More »
EA has announced a new online service called EA Sports Live Broadcast, which will allow users to share videos online of both in-game action and out-of-game smacktalking. The service will also provide programming in the form of fights against players chosen to battle each other for prizes and online fame, matches narrated by live commentators, and other live online events.
There's no information yet on if the service will have an extra cost, but it will debut with EA Sports MMA on October 19th of this year.
The Medal of Honor multiplayer beta will launch June 21 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 "VIP" members (anyone who bought the game new) who have pre-ordered Medal of Honor will receive early access to the beta, beginning this Thursday, June 17.
