We'll have an interview with Mass Effect chief Casey Hudson for you soon, but we wanted to give you this interesting little tidbit from the interview. Hudson says "We're pulling in probably over a thousand variables from Mass Effect 2 into Mass Effect 3 if you're importing your save game."
It's an impressive number to be sure, but keep in mind, they're not all reality shifting choices. For example, Mass Effect 2 is slightly different depending on what advice you give to Rebekah Petrovsky regarding her baby. So maybe not 1,000 earth-shattering variables.
How many things can you spy in the Fable 3 E3 trailer? Spell combinations, new melee maneuvers and ... is that naval combat? Watch for the Fable-y goodness. Stay for the John Cleese.

The King of Pop Michael Jackson is no stranger to video games. Besides appearances in SEGA games like Space Channel 5 and Space Channel 5: Part 2, Jackson also had his own game Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. That's not all. More »
But! "ManiaPlanet" is a platform that supports video games. Specifically, it's a "user-powered PC gaming zone" (according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot) for TrackMania 2 (beta coming Q4 2010) and additional "Mania" games, including the previously announced FPS ShootMania (Q1 2011) and RPG QuestMania ("soon").
Like TrackMania before them, the new Mania titles from Nadeo will emphasize player-created content. Presumably, MediaPlanet connects the content and creation systems across all Mania games in one convenient application. Imagine that.
We know, we know -- anotherRayman game, right? But no, seriously, this one looks totally sweet. Debuted at today's Ubisoft press conference, Beyond Good & Evil and Rayman creator Michel Ancel is developing Rayman Origins. From what we saw, it's a 2D Rayman that allows for some content creation as well. While we were impressed by the Rayman levels shown, a handful of user-created levels were also displayed with vastly different art styles. With any luck we'll get a chance to check out more when E3 officially starts tomorrow.

Battle Tag barely qualifies as a video game - it seems to have more in common with old "multimedia" board games like Nightmare - but hey, Ubisoft is releasing it, so here you go. More »
How does Ubisoft follow up on its multi-million unit selling Just Dance? By making a dancing game about the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The E3 presentation featured a few dancers on stage moving in front of a Kinect camera. However, other than a short musical number and a logo, Ubisoft hasn't presented much else. But, that probably won't stop hardcore fans from pre-ordering the game now.
We first of a possible deal for a Michael Jackson game last year. The original concept promised "recent voice recordings by the singer." It's unclear if Ubisoft's game is the same project, but it will be available by year's end.
If that title didn't fill you with joy, we're very sad for you. You also need to stop reading and go play Eric Chahi's brilliant Another World and Heart of Darkness.
If you are squealing like a little girl, we've got the details for you, fresh from Ubisoft's E3 press conference. Chahi, who's been practically absent from the industry since 1998, is creating the not-yet-titled "Project Dust," which will be digitally distributed this spring on unnamed platforms.
The only other information we have comes from the short clip shown at the event which showed shows a tribal group living in a world on the verge of extinction.

The Sly Cooper Collection will be revealed tomorrow as part of the Sony press conference. A blurry image on 1UP, taken at the as-yet-unopened PlayStation booth, not only announces the title but also touts 3D support as one of its key features. An independent source confirmed to Joystiq that Sly Cooper Collection is very much a real thing, and that other PS2 HD remixes are likely to be seen during the show.
It seems like we can cross at least one box off our bingo card.
