We’ve seen the eco-friendly Wii cases in the past, but the Big N was holding out on making the switch. As you can see, Nintendo was holding onto the traditional cases as recently as Super Mario Galaxy 2. It looks like Sin and Punishment: Star Successor is the first Nintendo-published game to get [...]

The truth of the matter is that we are still recovering from E3 2010 here at Big Download, but we managed to come out of our coma to post up the highlights of the past week in our coverage of PC games. That includes our post-E3 coverage of a number of games we didn't get to last week (if you missed our previous and massive amount of E3 2010 coverage check out last week's Best of Big Download post).

Exclusive Features
  • E3 2010 coverage: We have our E3 impressions of F.E.A.R. 3, Red Faction: Armageddon, Rage, Portal 2, Dungeon Siege III, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Plus check out our (different) E3 2010 awards and we list the PC games that didn't make it to E3 this year.
  • Magic The Gathering Duels of the Planewalkers review: We give our final verdict for this PC port of the collectible card-strategy game.
  • Boot Disk: Clive Barker's Undying: Our retro games feature checks out this excellent but underselling horror shooter from EA.
  • All You Need To Know: We give you all the info we have so far on Portal 2.

As you text-skippers have already noticed, there's been a pretty significant shake-up in this week's Japanese hardware sales chart, with all three incarnations of the Nintendo DS getting substantial sales boosts. There's been a lot of speculation as to how these increases came about -- most seem to think it has something to do with Japan's recent discounting of all three handhelds, as well as the introduction of new colors for the current king supreme, the DSi LL.

Our guess? The gamers of Japan have found their desire to purchase the 3DS to be so overwhelming, that they've settled for a more immediate alternative: Purchasing three DSs. Sure, this option doesn't provide them with the depth of display which the recently announced handheld will provide, but we imagine that, if aligned end-to-end and turned on simultaneously, the three handhelds should provide players with unparalleled amounts of width.

- DSi LL: 30,183 19,045 (170.99%)
- PSP: 20,929 733 (3.38%)
- Wii: 19,045 1,543 (7.49%)
- DSi: 18,214 8,042 (79.06%)
- PS3: 17,175 501 (2.83%)
- DS Lite: 5,126 2,018 (64.93%)
- Xbox 360: 2,060 1,165 (36.12%)
- PS2: 1,568 277 (21.46%)
- PSP Go: 837 119 (16.57%)

More footage in this trailer as compared to the footage from yesterday. Man, I’m getting pretty pumped for this game!

So I assumed Plastic Mario wouldn't mind/care if I took that old franis Game Maker game he made a long time ago and turned it into a sequel of sorts (Of course, if for some strange reason he DOES mind, I'll stop immediately). Like the original, members of digibutter will make appearances in the game (With starring roles for loafSKZ, Nastasia, and franis, obviously).

Here is the first demo. It only has one "level" so far, but who gives a shit. It's a demo. :3

Controls: arrow and s keys. And yeah, this is related to the "Digibutter: The Game" project.

Nastasia
it doesn't even work dumbass
Lord Crump
Don't worry, Flavio; you're going to have an even BIGGER role (Although being a boss is part of it)

For me, the selling point of MMOs is the huge, open world; a world full of other actual human beings who I can interact with and who can interact with me (almost like real life!). So when I snuck in some time with The Agency at Sony Online Entertainment's E3 booth this year, it was hard for me to shake the feeling that I was playing an Unreal Tournament-style, Ijji.com shooter (one powered by a modified Unreal Engine 3, no less) rather than an MMO. Sure, the Deathmatch trappings of my demo didn't help, but neither did lead designer Rory McGuire's explanation of how the game's Player vs Player works.

Essentially, interactions with other players are instanced into online multiplayer matches (30 players max), as seen here. The results of these battles are said to be reflected in the game's hub world -- locations can be taken by "U.N.I.T.E." or "Paragon" in multiplayer and those locations will show up as belonging to one of the game's two factions. From what I played, however, I'm not confident that what I've come to expect from an MMO -- the feeling of being in one huge world with other human beings -- is present in The Agency.
