In case you missed it, check out our blog post from last Friday where we announced a load of new Fat Princess sweetness (courtesy of awesome dev team Atomic Operations) coming to PSN on Tuesday June 29.

You can see highlights in the video below, but cut us a little slack since this was shot weary-eyed just before E3 and we hadn’t had our royal makeover yet:

We’re also happy to announce that Fat Princess is doing her part to help roll out the red carpet for PlayStation Plus. Fat Roles DLC will be featured at a discounted price of $3.99 (20% off regular PSN price), and will also include some exclusive free Avatars!

Stay tuned, see you all on the battlefield, and as always…

Cake for everyone,

The Fat Princess Team

We wouldn't be surprised to see Zombie's multiplayer shooter on PC and PSN that week, as well.

Sony Worldwide Studio President Shuhei Yoshida isn't looking to cut the price of the $299 PS3 this fiscal year. Speaking with IGN, the executive reiterated that the console became profitable this year. "We aren't making huge money from hardware, but we aren't bleeding like we used to," he added.

The company is currently focused on getting PS3s on retail shelves, having run into supply issues throughout most of this year. Yoshida noted that Sony is currently "trying to catch up [its] production."

With its attention on marketing 3D gaming (and TVs) and the impending Move launch, Yoshida said that Sony is considering additional hardware bundles to appeal to consumers instead of slashing the price of the base PS3 model.

Following Hulu's announcement of its new pay service, which will support devices like the PS3, Xbox 360, and iPhone, Microsoft filled us in on a bit of info about the Xbox version of Hulu Plus. Most importantly, Microsoft is continuing its ongoing quest to make Xbox Live Silver members feel deep shame, by making the Hulu Plus service on Xbox available only to those with an Xbox Live Gold account.

For the extra cash, though, Microsoft promises that this won't be a straight port. Instead, "Hulu Plus on Xbox 360 will take advantage of the social connectivity possible with our 25 million member Xbox Live community as well as the magic of Kinect for Xbox 360." So we'll break it down for you: While PS3 owners can enjoy Hulu Plus as early as next month, Xbox owners will have to wait until "early 2011" to get "controller-free navigation" with Kinect and Xbox Live Party support, so your Xbox Live friends can refuse your invitations to watch Quantum Leap together.

Full statement from Microsoft after the break.

If you look at the other GameStop listings for Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2, you’ll see that the Wii version is slated to hit 2 months later than the 360/PS3 versions. This date may not be final, but I’m guessing there will be some sort of staggered release no matter what.

Microsoft has announced that rejuvenated point-and-click classic Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge will launch on Xbox Live Arcade next Wednesday, on July 7th, for 800 MS Points. We've confirmed with LucasArts that the PC version -- distributed via Direct2Drive and Steam -- will also become available on July 7th, with the US PlayStation Network getting it one day sooner on July 6th. All versions will cost $10.

In this Special Edition, the Monkey Island milieu been instilled with all the modernity LucasArts could muster, including new high-definition art, fully voiced dialogue and 16-player Voodoo Doll Deathmatch a neat developer's commentary mode. As with the The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, you'll be able to switch between the new version and the game's original form at any time. We find the pixelated Zombie Pirate LeChuck to be more unsettling, but actually hearing him describe the "Screaming Chair" this time may change our minds.
