A portion of a Gaming Nexus review…
You will play it, finish it, and likely never look back. Thankfully though, you will probably do so without regret. I have to admit, I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to going in, even when compared to the HD version(s).

This month, the Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero DLC party starts off with a high-pitched bang, with three solid Queen tracks hitting the storefront later today. That bang becomes a guttural scream the week after, when Avenged Sevenfold drops a few songs. That scream becomes an "eww-ah-ah-ah-ah" one more week later, when Disturbed throws its hat in the ring. Finally, Shinedown will have some songs added to the service. (We don't know enough about their musical offerings to continue the metaphor.)

Well look at that…Furry Legends may the top trending on Monday. There has to be something going on here. Is there some sort of contest or something that was raising awareness of the game to an all-new high? Thanks to Dinofan1 for the heads up!
Unencumbered by legacy Xbox support, this year's Xbox 360 Dashboard update promises to be a big one. And while E3 may have been a bust for those of us eager to learn about the bi-annual update, we are getting some information piecemeal, starting with last week's Hulu Plus announcement and now, this week, we have Destination Arcade, a "brand new recommendation engine & visual browser app" coming to Xbox 360s ... next week!
There's not much information on the new browser app, but we do know you'll be able to sort by price and community rating, find out about "the latest arcade releases through a news feed" (sort of like this one!) and, seemingly replacing a piece of pre-New Xbox Experience functionality, the ability recommend games to friends and see which games your friends have recommended. You can find some pics of the new service in the gallery below.

Starting this past weekend and running all the way until Thursday, Valve has been rewarding its craftiest Team Fortress 2 Engineers with an extremely rare item: A Golden Wrench. Only 100 of these pulchritudinous nut-tighteners will be received by players -- but for every 25 that are discovered, Valve promises to release new information on the Engineer Update, which is due to launch this Thursday.
So far, the 'neer's new gear includes a "Frontier Justice" shotgun, which has a higher critical hit chance if the player's Sentry Guns have been racking up kills. Keep an eye on the game's official blog for more armament announcements as the number of remaining Golden Wrenches further dwindles.

Rayman and Globox will be slapping everything in sight as soon as this holiday season. The "about" page for Rayman Origins, the new 2D Rayman revival, reveals that the first episode is scheduled for a Christmas release, with "the rest" to follow in 2011. Ubisoft specified releases on "HD Consoles" for the platformer, with Wii, PC, iPad, and 3DS in consideration as well.
The page also reveals that the Ubiart framework used by Origins' five-person team to create the game will be released open-source next year, allowing users to design levels and characters. Not only is Ubisoft making a convincingly indie-style game, it's going to release tools to let you make indie games.
