The upcoming camera-enabled launches of EyePet and Invizimals in North America may not be available to PSP Go owners at all. PlayStation.Blog's Sid Shuman accurately admits that the upcoming PSP camera was "designed for pre-Go models only," and the "current camera will only fit onto the larger PSP model."

Shuman suggests there are "no workarounds," suggesting he has forgotten about the rarely-seen PSP Go "converter cable," introduced at Tokyo Game Show last year. Whether or not the attachment will ever find a Stateside release is still up in the air. "We don't have any information yet on a peripheral attachment for the Go," a Sony rep told us, neither confirming nor denying the possibility. Of course, should SCEA choose not to ship the cables, there's another solution: importing from Japan.

How did “Guybrush” get his name? The artists of Monkey Island used a program called Deluxe Paint, and it saved files as “brush” files. When designing the main character, the file was saved as “guy.brush,” hence the name Guybrush.

With another 25 Golden Wrenches dispensed, more details about the upcoming Team Fortress 2 Engineer update have been announced. The latest insane tweak to Valve's ever-evolving multiplayer FPS: The Wrangler, a new weapon that allows the Engineer direct control over sentry guns. But why would you want to get your virtual hands dirty controlling sentry guns that do just fine by themselves? Well, "wrangled" sentries will have shields, double the firing rate, and their missile launch rate will increase at Level 3.

The TF2 site has also introduced a new Payload map called Upward. The mountaintop structure is nice looking, but not so nice looking that you'll feel bad about blowing it up.

Only one week out from the game's official release, APB development house Realtime Worlds confirmed today (via Develop) that "a small number of staff will be made redundant, and a second unnamed project will be downscaled." Oddly enough, the studio also announced that it's still hiring. Rather than commenting on specifics of the layoffs, Realtime CEO Gary Dale noted: "We now have to focus our efforts and resources on running APB as a 24 / 7 online live operations, creating new content and services for the future and ensuring the best possible experience for players."

Dale also assured that the restructuring doesn't have to do with the reception of the new MMO at retail, saying, "APB experienced a very smooth launch for an online dedicated game along with a great reception from consumers and we're immensely proud of the game the team has produced." We've followed up with RTW for more specifics, and we'd like to offer our consolences to anyone at the studio that lost their job.

Sand. It gets everywhere. In your undies, in your flip-flops, in your tactical military shooters. In 2K Games’ upcoming PS3 third-person action game Spec Ops: The Line, catastrophic sandstorms have assaulted Dubai and left the City of Gold’s famous gravity-defying skyscrapers entombed under mountains of choking, swirling sand.

I sat in on a demonstration of Spec Ops: The Line at the 2010 E3 Expo, and learned more about the game’s improvisational combat and tense atmosphere, as well as the difficult decisions you’ll face as a Delta Force squad leader.

The story finds inspiration in the film Apocalypse Now. As Delta Force Captain Martin Walker, your team ventures into the Dubai wastes to track down a distress signal from Colonel John Konrad, who went AWOL following the sandstorms. The fate of Col. Konrad and his men will be revealed as you play, but if you’ve seen Apocalypse Now, you might have some clues about the dark territory this tale will explore.

Post-apocalyptic imagery aside, sand plays a key role in The Line’s action mechanics. During the third-person shootouts, you can target barricades and barriers to unleash sand avalanches on top of nearby enemies. Enemies can also exploit the sand traps, so it will pay to keep a close eye on the treacherous, ever-shifting terrain. At times, the action will migrate into the tomb-like skyscrapers that lay beneath Dubai’s suffocating sand dunes. These scenarios are tense and atmospheric, veering closer to survival-horror territory as Cpt. Walker and his men try to piece together the bigger picture while fending off surprise attacks from squatters and survivalists who have reclaimed the ruined city.

In firefights, Cpt. Walker can issue commands (flank, advance) to his Delta Force squad mates — though the developers promise that the computer-controlled allies can easily take care of themselves if you’d rather focus on the dirty work. Combat is up close and visceral, with a large arsenal of high-powered military shotguns, rifles, and carbines at your disposal.

Other surprises abound, such as a white phosphorus attack on Cpt. Walker’s team that sets an entire city block ablaze and sends fireballs drifting lazily through the air. Your decision-making prowess will also be put to the test during the game. In one scene I saw, Cpt. Walker had to choose between interrupting the execution of an ally or holding fire in order to conceal his presence and succeed in a larger objective. Choosing between what’s “moral” and what’s “necessary” will be a reoccurring theme in Spec Ops: The Line, meaning that your gameplay decisions will have a direct outcome on the characters, relationships, and outcomes of the game. And yes, there will be multiple endings.

Spec Ops: The Line hits the PS3 in 2011 and will support multiplayer features, though specifics aren’t public yet. If you have questions about the game, ask away in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Wallace and Gromit -- inventor extraordinaire and dog, respectively -- are making their way to the iPad. Telltale has announced that Wallace & Gromit: The Last Resort is now available for Apple's wonder slate. While certainly good news for Telltale fans, said fans may have noticed something a little odd, as The Last Resort is actually the second episode of the first season of Wallace & Gromit. Telltale makes no mention of other episodes in the future -- iPad users are still waiting on the rest of Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, incidentally -- but if you've been waiting to play Wallace & Gromit on a more magical platform, The Last Resort can be snagged from iTunes for $4.99.Wallace & Gromit get cracking on iPad

Ubisoft's oft-delayed strategy game, RUSE, will be getting support for PlayStation Move when it launches (presumably) later this year. Sony's motion controller can be utilized as a virtual pointer, with gestures assigned to camera controls and quick menu access. Senior producer Mathieu Girard told Eurogamer that the Move offers "the most enjoyable" way of playing, but conceded that the PC version is "the most efficient."

Although Microsoft's Kinect can also provide a similar virtual pointer experience, Ubisoft will not be incorporating motion support into the Xbox 360 version of the game. According to the Eurogamer report, "having to play standing up" while using Kinect proved to be a "stumbling point." While Microsoft still stands by claims that Kinect can be used while sitting down, we can think of at least one reason why Kinect support isn't ideal for the RTS: a lack of buttons, perhaps?
