While fans may know Sly Cooper best for his sneaky and stealthy exploits on PlayStation 2, his latest heist will be on PlayStation 3 this fall in The Sly Collection with three re-mastered classics in HD…for less than the price of most retail games! We’re excited to announce that following in the tradition of the God of War Collection, The Sly Collection will be available this fall for just $39.99 MSRP.

And what does that one-penny-less-than-40 price tag get you? Let’s start with all three original Sly Cooper titles…this includes Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, all re-mastered in glorious HD graphics.

Next, Sanzaru Games has added 3D support for all 3 games, as well as new PlayStation Move mini-games which you’ll be hearing more details about very soon. And finally, PSN trophy support will be integrated into the entire collection, with three platinum trophies up for grabs.

We’ll be showing off The Sly Collection this week at San Diego Comic-Con (July 22-25), so be sure to come over to the PlayStation booth and check it out. And, as always, keep coming back to the blog for more information about the The Sly Collection.

With all of the comic book news lately, you'd think Comic-Con was right around the ... oh. Well, Ubisoft has another comic book based on one of its properties ready to roll out at this week's event, this one based on the upcoming Driver: San Francisco. Unlike its Assassin's Creed book, which will just be shown and discussed at a panel, issue 0 of Driver will be given away at the booths of Ubisoft and DC Comics (under whose WildStorm imprint it's being published).

The series -- no word yet about its planned duration -- is being written by Stray Bullets scribe David Lapham and Illustrated by Greg Scott (Gotham Central). Its covers artist is Mark "Jock" Simpson, who's probably best known as co-creator of The Losers, a comic which was adapted into a motion picture released back in April. Jock will be signing copies of issue 0 tomorrow through Saturday. We've got the whens and wheres for you -- along with super-sized cover images, in case you can't make it -- just after the break.

If you're a fan of odd character pairings, this week's European PSN update is tailor-made to fit your peculiar interests. Available today is the next chapter in the Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse saga, titled "Beyond the Alley of the Dolls." Also new to the store is the demo for Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days. If Turner and Hooch had been added to the PSN Video Store this week, we could have had a real conjunction party.

By now you know that Dead Space Ignition is, essentially, a downloadable motion comic recounting the events immediately leading up to Dead Space 2. It's made interactive via the inclusion of three hacking minigames, one of which, Trace Route, I tried out at EA's Studio Showcase yesterday.

As we mentioned in our original news post, it's a play-alike of Nintendo's Light Trax for WiiWare with the exception that it features slightly deeper gameplay -- and is really pretty challenging. It's also going to support leaderboards and two players when released, and will unlock content (including a new suit for protagonist Isaac Clarke) in Dead Space 2.

Seeing the Haunted House brand come back after all these years is pretty strange. I don’t think anyone was looking for Atari to publish a sequel to their classic title. I mean, with the original game being so esoteric, you can really take a sequel in any direction!

Though the Comic-Con festivities don't technically kick off until tomorrow, Capcom's getting things started early with a batch of new character announcements for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. From the Marvel universe, iron-clad antagonist Doctor Doom will be making a nefarious appearance, along with the multifaceted Super Skrull. From Capcom's titles, the pint-sized powerhouse Chun-Li joins the fray, as does Devil May Cry's femme fatale, Trish.

Check out some gameplay footage featuring these new characters in the video posted after the jump, or catch a glimpse of some of their special abilities in the gallery below. Also, doesn't Super Skrull have like, every power ever? That hardly seems fair.
