The RPG-loving gamers of Japan spoke up back in April about which of Square's catalog of titles they'd like to see on the PSOne Classics storefront. It seems a victor has been crowned: According to a Tweet from Shinji Hashimoto, the next Square Enix title bound for the service is Legend of Mana, due out next week on the Japanese PSN for 600 yen ($6.50).

We've got high hopes that the beautifully illustrated Mana will come stateside, but seeing as how we're still waiting on the PSN localization of Brave Fencer Musashi, Einhander, Bushido Blade, Bushido Blade 2, Vagrant Story, Chocobo Racing, Final Fantasy I and II, all the Front Mission games, SaGa Frontier, Threads of Fate and Xenogears -- well, you get the picture.

Hello, everyone!

In case you haven’t heard, DC Comics’ WildStorm is releasing Ratchet & Clank in an upcoming action-packed comic series! Written by Insomniac‘s very own TJ Fixman, this brand new series will follow their adventures after the events of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time.

4815165041_5e3567f99a_m.jpg 4815787510_6c14a0e6b4_m.jpg

“What?! Where?! How? Who?!” – We gotcha covered ;)

Releasing: September 8th, 2010

Where: North America, including all states, territories and possessions of the United States, and South America. The United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy and Germany. Whew!

We can also confirm that it’ll become available through PlayStation Digital Comics this Fall!

Want to see more? Here are some exclusive previews of the comic and a message from the man behind the legends, TJ Fixman. Just so you know, the stunning covers are being done by CreatureBox (Insomniac artists David Guertin and Greg Baldwin) and the interior art is from Adam Archer.

After working on two full adventures and one downloadable mini-adventure, I’m extremely excited to help bring Ratchet & Clank to the comic book world. Over the years, we at Insomniac have watched like doting parents as the Ratchet & Clank mythology grew from a few small planets in the Solana Galaxy to a living, breathing universe full of fun characters and exotic alien worlds. It’s a universe that thrives on impossible weaponry and massive amounts of destruction while somehow managing to keep its sense of humor. How we came across that formula, I couldn’t tell you (though I suspect Chief Creative Officer Brian Hastings has it under lock and key in his desk), but the result is a heart-felt mythology that somehow manages to bring out the kid in all of us – even when it’s our pen on the paper.

With that in mind, I’d like to thank you, the readers, for allowing me to bring Ratchet & Clank out for another adventure. Thank you for allowing me to give Captain Qwark the worst job a failed superhero and actor could ever have. And above all, thank you for letting me be a kid again. Hope you enjoy the comic!

Make sure you contact your local comic book shop to let them know you’re interested in picking up your copy when it releases! Keep an out here on the PlayStation.Blog for more info on the Digital Comic.

Sony has priced the upcoming The Sly Collection at $39.99, identical to the price point given to Sony's previous HD remake release, God of War Collection.

As previously reported, the collection features remastered, high-definition versions of all three PS2 Sly Cooper titles, along with 3D support, Trophies and a couple of PlayStation Move minigames. Even without all the newfangled technological additions, you're getting three well-received games for $40. That's a pretty good deal. Maybe even a steal.

Who would have thought that one of the strongest voice cast lineups we've seen in a good, long time would come from an MMORPG? Check out some of the talent Sony Online Entertainment managed to wrangle for its upcoming superpowered outing, DC Universe Online:
  • Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will reprise their frequent roles of The Joker and Batman, respectively. You may remember the sounds of their pipes from Arkham Asylum, as well as any other animated Batman project from the past 15 years.
  • Former Firefly stars Gina Torres and Adam Baldwin will voice Wonder Woman and Superman, respectively. Though you probably didn't need that "respectively" bit, due to your understanding of gender.
  • James Marsters will voice balding mastermind Lex Luthor. After playing Spike in Buffy, Brainiac in Smallville, Captain John in Torchwood and Piccolo in the recent Dragon Ball movie, this should be a nice notch in his nerd-fame belt.
  • Wonder Woman's adversary, Circe, will be voiced by Michelle Forbes, who provided the voice for Dr. Mossman in Half-Life 2. She's also been in every sci-fi show ever made. All of them. Seriously.

Hi Everyone- Here’s this week’s Digital Comics update.

As usual, we have the full list of new content to the store below, but let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

To start with, we have another large set of new arrivals from DC Comics. Pick up your free copy of the Wonder Woman #600 10-page preview, written by none other than J. Michael Straczynski. Or download #1 of DMZ and follow Matty Roth, an aspiring reporter trapped in a Manhattan ravaged by America’s Second Civil War. Finally from DC, down in Texas it’s all about werewolves, as you’ll see in High Moon #1. Former detective Matthew Macgregor investigates strange happenings in a desolate town… werewolf western drawn by Steve Ellis.

Want more superhero action? Marvel’s Black Panther, makes his solo debut on Digital Comics this week! So, who is Black Panther? R. Hudlin is here to answer this question – in cinematic scope, no less. He famously said that his influences for the Black Panther were another mighty superhero (can you guess who?), Spike Lee, and Sean Combs. That’s quite something.

Last, but not least, another great series by IDW: Mystery Society. Charismatic duo Nick Hammond and Anastasia Collins bring their own justice to the world’s underbellies – and it’s not an easy task. Written by Steve Niles, with art by amazing Ashley Wood (Tank Girl, Zombie vs Robots, and many many others) – another one really worth a try.

That’s it, have a great week, and head to www.playstationcomics.com for more info or to view our full catalog and pricing.

And not just any cheaters, but no good, dirty cheaters. According to a post over on Rockstar Games' site, the next title update to Red Dead Redemption will bring with it "measures to counter hacking and cheating" on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Furthermore, a handful of "anti-grief" features will be added to the game's Free Roam online mode. Apparently, cowpokes enduring repeated harassment from other online players will be given the choice to jump to another point (of their choosing) on the map. The culprits doing all the griefing will get branded as such after six consecutive kills, earning them a Most Wanted status and wrangling the game's NPCs against the offender.

Rockstar also promises to continue monitoring online play for those doing bad deeds after said title update goes live "within the next month," but then, isn't the existence of outlaws an inescapable reality of the Old West?
