A portion of an Aeropause review… The value of this boils down to your game library. If you don’t have any of the games that won’t work in this clone, you’ll likely be very happy with it. Particularly if you’re using it as a Sega Genesis for the S-Video support, you’re bound to be very pleased. [...]

The images above come from 2010 Summer Wonder Festival in Japan. As you can see, Roll isn’t finished yet, but she’ll be ready to release sometime in December. Also seen hiding in the pics is a tease for a Proto Man figurine. No word on release date for that figurine just yet. link, [...]

Curious what the cast of Tekken looks like when dipped in Capcom's unique art style for Street Fighter X Tekken (that's pronounced Street Fighter "cross" Tekken, by the by)? Check them out in this batch of screenshots for the mashed-up fighter, posted in the gallery below.

A lot of people are sending this clip my way. We actually did post similar footage up during E3, but since it seems that a few missed out, here it is again!

Yesterday's DC Universe Online-centric Comic-Con panel included a whole cornucopia of surprises for attendees (and potential subscribers). For instance, TV and film star Mark Hamill was there, talking about his role as the nefarious, wide-grinned Joker. Also, everyone in the audience got beta keys, which seemed to please them to no end. Also, it was announced the game wouldn't require a PSN+ subscription to play on the PS3 on top of the standard MMO subscription fee, which was also met with rousing applause.

The biggest surprise came from comic writer Jim Lee, who announced that the game would drop on November 2. Sure, we knew it would come at some point during the 11th month, but not two days into it. Why, that's practically late October, if you really think about it.

Dr. Doom, Super Skrull, Chun-Li and Trish joined the cast of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in the Comic-Con show floor preview build; though Thor and Amaterasu didn't make the trip (lazy gods!). I checked out the new characters and chatted with producer Ryota Niitsuma about the latest roster updates.

Of the four, Super Skrull seems to be attracting the most attention at the show. The famous comic book villain has been the hero at Comic-Con, wowing attendees with his Fantastic Four powers: slamming opponents with Thing fists, flaming on with Human Torch fire, and performing an impressive Mr. Fantastic stretch-throw impression. Niitsuma recalled that Skrull's mix of abilities was a tough concoction to brew -- but certainly a potent one in action.

[Fighters Generation] Capcom didn't just announce two Street Fighter games in yesterday's Comic-Con panel -- that would hardly have been worth holding a panel. Producer Yoshinori Ono also announced that the company is working on Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online, an updated re-release of the 1999 arcade/Dreamcast game.

It's "not going to come out in the immediate future," Ono told the crowds already daydreaming about online Q matches, "but just let everyone know that Street Fighter 3 is coming back." He didn't have any more details, simply directing suggestions to Capcom-Unity. It seems relatively safe to assume that an online-focused fighting game is being considered at least for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, probably as a digital release like Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Is it just us, or has this year's Comic-Con played host to an unnatural amount of newsworthy video game happenings? New games getting announced, new trailers, new demos -- where did all this come from? Is it possible that this comics-based event has taken a stronger interest in games due to this very feature, which is hosted on a video game website, but focuses exclusively on comics? We're not sure, but we love all the symmetry, regardless.

Below are our seven favorite webcomics from the past week. Check them out, then vote for your favorite in the poll after the jump!

Banana Hoard (Brawl in the Family)
Incognito (Digital Unrest)
Anatomy of a Headshot (Monday Night Crew)
Dat Feature (Nerf Now)
Off Track (Awkward Zombie)
Don't Ask (Virtual Shackles)
Planting a Flag (Penny Arcade)
