Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom producer Daisuke Uchiyama announced this morning at GamesCom that the game will hugginate European retail on November 25. The game already has a scheduled North American date of November 30.
Uchiyama said the "20 to 30 hour" adventure will release with DLC costumes for Majin (he's the big guy) and the boy, Tepeu, as pre-order bonuses in the States -- the costume packs will be available for download on Xbox Marketplace and PSN soon after. In Europe the costumes will depend on the country, but the plan is to release them later as separate downloadable outfits.

Seed Studios has clearly missed its Spring release for Under Siege, a PSN-exclusive RTS. Most likely, the team is attempting to take advantage of the PlayStation Move's release. (The RTS is a perfect fit for the Move controller!) In the meantime, two new videos have surfaced on the game's official website: first up is a video of the familiar-looking gameplay; next up, is the rather robust level editor. Considering this is a PSN game, the production values look rather terrific.

Here's the GamesCom trailer for LittleBigPlanet 2. There are new features to see and new characters to meet, but really, like the first game, the best thing about it is the smile it puts on your face. More »
Canadian Xbox users now have a new service on the Dashboard, "Xbox News." Surprisingly, instead of gaming news, the video program offers up "entertainment, human interest, tech, gadget, auto and unique" news stories from Microsoft's MSN. The first episode certainly doesn't offer up hard-hitting news, instead dishing out stories about human dominoes and a paintball facility invaded by bears.
... on second thought, that is hard-hitting news. You can never be too careful with bears. New episodes will be posted to the Canadian Xbox dashboard each evening but, just because it's you, you can watch the first episode after the break.

Square Enix's approach to the Monster Hunter formula adds one key component: blood -- and lots of it. If you couldn't tell by the hardcore guitar riffs of this new trailer, Lord of Arcana is aiming for a slightly older audience. Still, gore can't hide what seems to be an awfully familiar premise.
Gran Turismo 5, the racing game with the most ironically slow development ever, will arrive in Japan November 3. It'll be available not only in a ¥7,980 ($93) standalone pack, but in a Limited Edition with five DLC cars and a 308-page book.
Sony is also releasing a ¥35,980 ($421) PS3 bundle, called the Gran Turismo 5 Racing Pack, including the LE of the game and a special "Titanium Blue" 160GB PS3 Slim. This joins the recent white version and the Final Fantasy XIII Lightning edition in the set of awesome PS3 Slim variants unavailable to most of us.

EA Sports has added a new feature to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of FIFA 11 called "Be a Goalkeeper." Guess what it's about! No, it's not about learning how to cultivate a hive, that's "Goal: a Beekeeper." This is about controlling the goalie in soccer games. Be a Goalkeeper allows you to control the goalie using three levels of AI assistance (ranging from "none" to "some," basically).
Now that players can take control of that position, the possibility of full, 11 vs. 11 online play is opened up, a functionality that EA touts in the stylish trailer after the break.

GameStop hates you. Did you know that? It's the truth. It hates you, and it wants you to be completely destitute. What other reason could there be for the retailer to hold a buy two, get one free sale on its used games from today until Saturday, just thirty days after offering the same bargain?
The Assassin's Creed comic project revealed last month now has an official release date. WildStorm's Assassin's Creed: The Fall will land in a pile of hay on store shelves starting November 10, just a few days before the retail debut of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The Fall takes place in late 19th century Russia and follows the exploits of the assassin Nikolai Orelov as he seeks to snatch "an artifact of immense power" from the Templars. It also promises a "climactic and violent showdown with the ruthless Tsar Alexander III aboard a speeding train!" Exciting!
Next Tuesday, Rockstar San Diego will swing low its terrible banhammer, winking players with hacked Red Dead Redemption game saves out of existence. If you're one of these miscreants, but you'd rather not have your Gamertag/PSN ID permabanned from the Wild Western's multiplayer component, you still have an out: Delete your hacked game saves. Yep, your single-player saves, too. It's harsh, we know -- but maybe you should have thought of that before adopting your life of petty crime.

We have to imagine the sound of eight people playing anyPatapon game collectively could be a bit on the overwhelming side. But that's exactly what Patapon 3 will feature when it arrives sometime "between now and December." The latest trailer of the game comes from Gamescom and gives us a much better idea of all the new features the game will come with. New enemies? You bet! New skills and weapons? No doubt! Eight-person multiplayer? For sure! Pink and fluffy bunnies? Okay, you've gone too far.

Though the Summer of Arcade promotion has drawn to a close, there's still plenty of upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace releases to be psyched over. Well, assuming you're a fan of side-scrolling beat-em-ups, that is. Major Nelson's blog recently released the XBLM schedule for the remainder of August (posted after the jump), a period which will see the release of Scott Pilgrim and Shank, discounts on Zeno Clash and some BioShock 2 DLC, and the arrival of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 Avatar items. You know, something casual for your Avatar to wear around the house.
This freshly released gameplay trailer for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit from Burnout vets Criterion Games has us in a hot pursuit of a controller with which we can play more of this blistering-fast racer. The footage features cops versus racers in both day and night settings, the latter we're pretty sure was put in the game just to show off the police car lights bathing passing cars and scenery in their red and blue beams.
The video begins and ends with a peek at the game's "Autolog" player vs. player challenge system. There are also some shots that'll be familiar with anyone who played Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 in the PS2 era, including roadblocks, spike strips (dropped from helicopters!) and the cops calling in high-performance backup when their cruisers just aren't getting the job done. It looks fast-tastic. Now, if only November 16 could get here faster.
