Ready for a little cognitive dissonance? Check out this footage of the Gamescom build of Bulletstorm, featuring commentary by producer Tanya Jessen. The game is as violent, gory, and inexplicably disgusting as ever (you can even hear the infamous "Yum yum blister juice" line spoken in this clip), and Jessen's discussion is calm and conversational, even as she describes four-barreled shotguns and mutants covered with pus .

It's not that we expected everyone who worked on this game to sound like "Macho Man" Randy Savage, but ... no, actually, that's exactly what it is. See the video after the break.

Online game developer discontinues service.

Kotaku reports that Ubisoft has handed walking papers to 38 individuals at Red Storm Entertainment, the studio mostly responsible for handling the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon games. The studio made a name for itself with the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series, starting in the late '90s.

An Ubisoft representative told Kotaku that "these team members have the opportunity to consider positions in other Ubisoft studios," citing the layoffs were a result of "a realignment of production priorities." Red Storm is currently working on the multiplayer component of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. An Ubisoft rep noted the layoffs were "part of a plan to allow the studio to focus on its core expertise: developing innovative multiplayer experiences."

Half of the development of the upcoming Medal of Honor reboot -- multiplayer, specifically -- is being handled by Battlefield: Bad Company 2 developer DICE. The latest trailer, featuring the game's multiplayer component, highlights that division more than ever.
